Order prime rib hash, rigatoni with Italian sausage and wild mushroom balls (forgot the name). Overall it was pretty nice but one thing was that my rigatoni was underdone. From the picture you can see it was not cooked all the way through and was hard to chew. I hope nothing else was underdone.

This place had very elegant vibes to it and our server was spectacular! One of the best servers I came across in Vancouver with great knowledge about the menu which I appreciated. Appetizers: The Bison Carpaccio and the Arancini are must tries! Just wow. Mains: I got the short rib and it was honestly a great piece of meat although it was slightly expensive. I added tiger prawns on the side which I wouldn’t order again in hindsight but the short ribs were good. My friends got the seafood gnocchi and liked it while one of them didn’t like their pesto pasta. Drinks were decent as well, nice location - would love to come here in the summer.

We had dinner on The 2nd Floor to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It was our first visit to the restaurant and I think we had the best table in the house, by the window directly across the Gastown Steam Clock. It was a fun experience with the live music. We had salad, steaks, seafood gnocchi, crab cakes, side mushrooms, prawns and tiramisu. We were happy with the food overall. Steaks were done perfectly and the mushrooms were especially tasty. The tiger prawns were a little flavourless. Our server was friendly but he was not around most of the time so we had to wait for a long time to get our drinks refilled or get our bill. The price was reasonable considering we went on Christmas Eve.

Dined here on Christmas day with my partner. Booked a table for 7pm and got seated roughly 40 minutes after arrival. Restaurant was extremely cold from the door being opened and closed due to a line of people waiting for their tables. Resorted to wearing my jacket throughout the meal as did many other tables around us. Had run out of prime rib by the time we got to order our meal which was extremely disappointing as that was one of the main reasons I chose the restaurant. Appetizer plate, ginger & carrot soup were very good and the bison carpaccio as the appetizer choice was probably the tastiest thing i’ve had all year. The gnocci were overcooked and served in a bland tomato sauce, not good at all. The main course I ended up going with was a turkey duo which was for the most part completely fine, but served with an inedible vegetable & bread? mess. Didn’t finish this dish. Cheesecake dessert was good. Overall the evening was a bit chaotic and distracted as the staff (who were friendly and helpful) were trying to deal with booking disarray. As a Christmas day set meal I wouldn’t recommend as we spent close to $500 dollars on an average meal & bad experience. For a restaurant that has been around for a while it felt very much like first day affair.

Service and ambiance were great. Drinks from the bar (and suggestions from our server) were on point. Food is good, solid execution but a little bland - very much catering to the North American palate which, given its touristy location, I'm not mad at. All in all, lovely meal

We came across this place randomly whilst looking for food places in the area. We were lucky to be seated at the patio enjoying the music of the steam clock and the vibrant street. The menu was unique and had great variety . We had crab cake, gnocchi and pure orange juice . Everything was great . Tasty and filling . Very nice and efficient staff. Brunch dishes were within thr price raneg of $19 - 30.

Came here for dine out Vancouver. The menu options were great and the food was absolutely delicious. It was nice to try a few different things. Our server was also excellent in giving recommendations as to what to order. My water glass was also never empty. Always a great atmosphere, and the food is excellent.

Located in the Gastown region of Vancouver, Water Street Cafe serves up some delicious Italian fare. The service was spot on, always attentive, and ever friendly. The food itself was fresh and it brought me back to my time in Italy when you could tell the chefs loved creating.
