★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I had no hot water at my fifth wheel they allowed me to have showers there and help out people that are in need of a hand up.very good thing from government as well as the purchase of the remada hotel in Duncan for people that are homeless and can't take care of themselves on there own...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately the services offered through the CMHA are extremely limited since Covid and the number of people finding themselves homeless has only increased exponentially ?? but the staff are doing a great job

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Warmland is a Shelter for homeless people. They serve breakfast and an early dinner. They have a nice courtyard area out front and the inside of the building is kept clean.
Staff are knowledgeable and most are friendly and there to help. They have space for both women and men and also a 2nd stage housing program. See the website for more information.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well in my experience with warmland, I found the staff to be some what volityle and very rude. They built that place for people who are in need of a place to stay, and I can't count the number of times I've seen people turned away stating there were no beds yet they have mattresses they can pull out and let them sleep on that?? Now I'm talking about the middle of winter when the chill factor rips right through you and yet again I have witnessed including myself, asking for a bed to sleep but turned away? Asked for a sweater or jacket and turned away ? Finally asking to come in to warm up and told no I couldn't come in and warm up so I asked for a blanket or sleeping bag just to hear those words again, no we don't have extras? So I went to the Ambulance station and asked them for help and finally got some blankets to stay warm ! Warmland is a joke with untrained staff that have attitudes towards people they don't know or favor? A simple shower I have been turned away?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried to drop off several good winter coats for those who may need them. The person who answered the bell was a little curt and informed me they were not accepting donations. Really guys? It’s November and cold so she could have a least told me where they could be dropped off.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My mom was assaulted by a 6 foot blonde hair guy. As she was leaving the bathroom while staying here . My.mom and brother are homeless and need an apt ASAP my mother weighs less than 90lbs and she was attacked . She has bruises all over her. After the guy attacked her !! Here. The man ran out the door. Police and ambulance wrapped my mom's foot up and she is covered in bruises. They let the guy come back kn and stay the next night.put a small woman and her son at risk !!!! This is our Reserve Nd our land and we have no place to stay !! Today. Warmlands kicked out my mom. CUae she laid a complaint regarding the guy who assaulted her !! Warmlands has video and they heard my mom's screams for help!! But choose to kick my mom and brother Nd keep the guy doing the assaulting at the shelter !! This place needs to be cleaned up. #governemtnofcanada @justintrudeau @billblair
