It's right between the railroad and the trans-canada, so it's very noisy, would not recommend tenting here. It's fine for RV's.

Once you understand that this is a city/municipal campground you can appreciate it. By this I mean that this campground is right next to the highway. If that does not concern you, you will like this well kept campground which sits right at the edge of Canmore. Host was very friendly and the washrooms were clean and warm.

For the price it's great! BYO firewood as the bundles are slightly small for the price. Campground isn't really fancy but it's right in town across from McDonald's but feels like your in the woods. Taxi to anywhere is cheap and the facilities are good. I'm grateful to have gotten a place for the July long weekend vs a hotel room for $380 a night. It's been a much better experience and a fraction of the price.

Fairly basic campground with a gravelly aesthetic right next to the highway. There is 30A electricity but no water hookup. There is a sani-dump and water service at the information centre just down the block, though. It's first come first serve with no reservations so if you arrive after dinner it might be full. A short walk to stores. Canmore is really amazing with the mountains.

The only reason i stay here every year is because its cheap and close to town to walk. I dont mind the sounds of the train and cars but the staff need to be more friendly. When the office is closed is says come to site 34. So I did because I needed a piece of tape due to my tarp having a tiny hole in it. They said yea at 7:30 (hour and a half later) we'll come give you that tape when we reopen. I told them im going into town and i wont be there and its sposed to rain. They said "oh well! We'll just leave it at ur site then" when we got back around 10 there was no tape. Thanks wapiti staff! I will make sure to stop coming here and i hope people take these reviews seriously and see that some of the 5 stars are fake. Rundle mountain lodge is a cute little motel down the street if you want camping experience

Great location, affordable, clean bathrooms and showers, walking distance to the town centre with all shops and restaurants. The guy who looks after it is a fabulous and friendly guy. If we pass back through here, we would 100% stay here again.

This campground was close to where we are traveling and we ended up staying 2 nights. It’s expensive for motorcycles-$42 plus $3 each for shower tokens. Tent sites are walk in only and you have to park on the road. The showers were super cold, not temperature controlled and I’m 5’3 and practically drowned. You can’t adjust the head. It is super noisy as well because it’s next to the highway. The staff is also never there even during the opening hours. Also ground squirrels are everywhere! You have to keep everything closed. Not the best, but good location and served the purpose for us traveling.

This was a good place to set up a base camp and explore the area around. Close to many great hiking/ biking trails, stores, and amenities. Pretty noisy as it's right in between the highway and a train track, so it was a good thing I had ear plugs in my travel kit. The campground has drinking water, firewood, showers, and a sink to wash dishes. The RV side has electricity hook ups, the tenting area does not. Over all, a convenient place to camp in Canmore.
