About Wacky's Great Northern Rd
Wacky's was established in December of 2007 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Being from Northern Ontario, we wanted to ensure we gave our customers the “Northern Ontario” feel as they dined with us.
We cover all of our walls in cedar logs, design all of our own custom wooden tables, chairs and bar tops, and accent the room with full character logs. We use mostly Northern white cedar to achieve this beautiful cozy Northern Ontario look.
We pride ourselves on having the friendliest, most caring staff around who will go above and beyond to ensure your dining experience with us is nothing short of a treat. We cater to families, large groups, sporting teams and sports enthusiasts alike. So, stop in and “Eat, Drink & Game On!”

When designing the Wacky’s concept, we knew we had to keep our sports fans in mind. What better combination for sports fans than ice-cold beer with many options to choose from! We have many great beers and craft beers available. In addition, we have big screen TV’s on all the walls surrounding the entire premises help capture all of that great sporting action. There is no better place to catch your favourite games than Wacky’s.
We carry a full menu consisting of hand-made juicy burgers, hand-breaded chicken fingers, creative sandwiches, fresh salads, unique poutines, one-of-a-kind appetizers, healthy wraps, 20+ flavours of fries and of course hand-tossed chicken wings and much more. 100+ flavours of wings on our menu we had to be creative! So mouth-watering, sticky, messy wet sauces and delicious dry seasoning flavours were called to action!
It is our teams' mission to ensure every Wacky’s guest leaves satisfied and we will leave no stone unturned when it comes to complete customer satisfaction.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, service and ambience. Poutine was really good and we tried different flavors of wings on it. Kids loved it. Our server Karen was really friedly, helpful. Service was very quick. The first thing my daughter noticed was how clean the whole place was, specially the patio. Bathrooms were also very well maintained.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is not great. I always feel bad for staff, as they are always over worked. I was there a few nights ago and our waitress was great. There were 2 servers and each server had at least 9 tables. One waitress had a huge table of at least 10. I honestly felt bad for them. Servers are always so nice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Only shared a plate of nachos and a beer, but they use egg roll pastry to make their nachos. Fantastic! Never had that before. Many vegan options here. I wish I was hungrier so I could have tried some other choices. All look great! 10% discount if you are staying at the Microtel. Just show your room card!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disaster of an experience. If I could give zero stars they would have got it. We waited 15 minutes in our booth and no one showed up to even greet us. Not one person acknowledged our family the entire time. The worst part is we got up and left and no one even noticed. No one smiled, no one said hello and no one even cared! That was our first and last visit ever. Unbelievably poor customer service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our server and the decor of the restaurant was awesome! We ordered 4 different wing flavours and they were all different temperatures which was off putting. Loved the variety in flavours but I don’t recommend upgrading the fried to Parmesan friends - not worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Idaho nachos are absolutely delicious, as usual. I'm just sad that I asked for extra sour cream onside and I got none at all ? oh well, they were still phenomenal! Waffle fries are genius!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We just loved their chicken wings. We tried the dried chicken wings with pepper and sea salt. We also tried their cake desert which was delicious too. We were here for 3 nights and visited them every single night. They have a wide wide variety of options you can choose from. The servers are helpful and assist you by making honest suggestions to pick food matching your taste. I would surely recommend this place.

I love the selection here, you can get them to season your meat with any of the wing flavours (dry or wet) which gives your meal a fun twist.
Server was lovely, attentive and on it.
If you’ve never been, the atmosphere is like a sports bar, lots of TVs inside for sporting events.
They have really nice decor as well, wooden tables and very wood cabin style.
