★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very short drive from city of edmonton, very good campground, flush toilets and showers were near by. Firewood available at the store, but not free you have to pay and pick them in the park store. Boat rentals available near by , too crowded near the wabamun lake in the weekends, better of going early and save your spot. You can do the BBQ in the day use area near the lake parking lot

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went out to the day use beach. Not too crowded on May long wknd. We enjoyed the sand and the playground. Later in the evening, we fished off the dock and caught a Northern Pike. A great trip.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great experience! Wabamun Lake had everything for all ages. It has a beach with sand to the lake. You can swim in part of it. They have a dock area to jump off of. We never swam to known the depth. If you have a boat(motorized or not), sea doo, jet ski or any other water toy. It can be on the lake for enjoyment. It has outside shower for everyone to use, bathroom facility's. Camp sites for over night. (Tents only). Day use picnics with pit camp fires with grill(recommend to bring fire wood). Has a concession for ice cream and quick snacks like hot dogs, etc. Playgrounds for toddlers ( under 5) and for kids (5-12). Drinking water tap, but the water had a taste to it. I would recommend extra bottles to bring with you. We found boat rentals but not motorized(paddle boats, kayaks)
Its great for families. No alcohol on the beach. Pet friendly area but no pets on the beach sand.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place to spend the day with family / friends or just by yourself. There are shades areas and the sunny sand beach that you can choose from. Wish they had more water sport rentals and F&B options at the location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quiet and peaceful during Fall time. Not much activity during the mid September weekend when I first visited. Would love to return and enjoy the beach and take take out my kayak next summer when it's less chilly and windy ?
