Bill Scott passed away in 2009. His daughter Marilyn Scott has stepped into his hard-to-fill shoes and carried on the family tradition by maintaining the many relationships he built with customers and suppliers. Marilyn’s background consists of working for her father while she attended high school and during her years at the University of Alberta.
Marilyn obtained her Bachelor of Commerce Degree and worked for the government of Alberta in various positions of increasing responsibility in the department of Alberta Apprenticeship and Career Development. Marilyn is the General Manager of W.R. Scott Equipment Ltd. and has carried on her father’s legacy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First I called to see if they had a skid steer attachment I was looking for, they said they didn’t. They called back 30 mins later saying that one had somehow come available. I went a picked up the attachment the next day. After 15 mins of use, the hydraulic fitting blew. I called and asked what they would do about it, they told me that they can’t do anything about it, I either fix it myself or bring it back and have no attachment to use. They said they would reemburse me for the price of new fittings. $150 and 3 hours later, I have the attachment going again. Think I’d be reembursed for running to Greg’s to get parts and stuff? Nope..
Then I take the the attachment back and drop it off, get reembursed for money I spent fixing it and I’m on my way home. I get a phone call from one of the lady’s accusing me that this wasn’t the piece of equipment I had been rented and I had replaced it with another piece of equipment. They were saying I stole there attachment and replaced it with a different one. They said they had videos of me leaving with a different attachment and they were going to call the police unless I brought them the right one. Obviously this was a misunderstanding so I told them to call the police cause that’s the equipment they had given me. I turned around and headed back to their shop to get to bottom of this. On the way she calls me back and says that they made a mistake and it was the one they gave me. She goes on to tell me they didn’t have one when I originally called so they rented one from somewhere else in town so they could rent it to me. This place is a joke and I’m never going back. Don’t waste your time or money here.

I called WR Scott Equipment and asked if they had a machine that would help us grade our driveway and make the ditch larger to handle the rushing water . They gave me professional advice for using a Skidsteer with a bucket. They delivered the machine on time and we were able to fix the driveway and the ditch. Bonus * the cab of the skid steer has A/C!

We had rented two attachments from WR Scott over the weekend. Our stump grinder stopped working after an hour, however they were quick to replace it with a different unit and even gave a 20% discount off the bill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rented a mini excavator and track loader. They carry the Mustang brand and can tell you that we had no problem operating the equipment and was very dependable and got the job completed. The Staff was very knowledgeable and price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this company for any of your rental needs.
