I was recently transferred to Edmonton and given the (dreaded) task of managing my companies fleet vehicles, that includes forklifts. We have a service agreement in place with a large service company, but last week when one of our machines would not start that company told me it would take 1-2 days for a technician to come out. We need that machine, so I used Google and came across Capital Industial. I called, and the woman on the phone was very pleasant and helpful. This company had a mechanic at my location in about 1.5 hours from the time I called. My machine was repaired quickly, and from what I can tell professionally. I will use them again.

GREAT. Forklift businesses are not easy, my everyday is to deal with many of them as a supplier. At Capital I had the chance to work with a great team, from service/sales/rental to management, they are all smart and mindful about their customer needs. I can tell you they are better than what we normally experience elsewhere.

Stay away!!! Hard to believe they have the customer and supplier list that they do. This is the worst run company I have ever seen. Stereo-typical Ma and Pa operation that worry only about their own. Owner is rude, obtrusive, over bearing and is under the impression she is God! Even the way she publicly humiliates her husband (the founder of her riches) is astonishing. In my 30+ years of being in the workforce I have never seen such horrific behavior! I'm shocked they are still in business and it's no wonder they can't keep staff. If you are looking for a dead end career that guarantees to set you up for failure with absolutely no respect or appreciation, this is the place for you. A day working with them is like what I would imagine a modern day in hell would be like. Problem is once you're there you can't get out; they won't allow any time off. You're TRAPPED!!

Are you looking for a new career path? Are you looking for a company to service your equipment? Well...... KEEP LOOKING! I will share my opinion on this company. Like many others have expressed below, it sounds like a toxic environment and it is. With an outstanding micro-management process structure - absolutely nothing here gets handled professionally and procedures are based off todays mood(of the owners) and are basically ever changing! When you call for help don't have any expectations other than a call back because EVERYTHING you want will have to be run past the owners. Eventually most staff get beat down and scratch at a way out. In turn keeping the revolving door from stopping, providing a chart topping turnover rate. There are a select few- great, humble, fair humans that are "stuck" within this company that unfortunately with demands get pulled into making some bad decisions(not personal but directed to customer retention). The nice part though is to understand all decisions won't benefit you as a customer, you will have delays and wasted time because no one makes a decision around here but the owners, so you better hope they're even around. Managers(if any have the label) don't manage, so don't waste your time trying to get an answer out of these few but show sympathy towards them because being pulled around by fictitious strings and encouraged to reply with comments that keep your nose longer than Pinocchio's isn't an easy task. Proceed with precaution for all those that decide to deal with this company regardless which side of the counter you are on.

Friendly people and great service. I've tried their competitors when they contact me with "special introductory pricing" but in the end I always go back to Capital Industrial for fast service and good mechanics.

My experience with Capital Industrial has been, as expected, phenomenal. I couldn't be more impressed with the level of service & dedication to my needs as a customer. I had used the services of Capital in the past to repair my old forklift and once before that to help me source a tough to find part for my aging forklift. (Other businesses actually laughed at me with my old machine) Therefore Capital Industrial was my 1st thought when IΒ  needed to finally replace my well aged current machine. Keith & Marie went so far beyond the call of duty to make sure that my crazy time request was met (27 hours from signing to my shop) I cannot imagine that anyone else would rush to get my new machine so fast.Β I had a load that I required this new machine to unload coming at 8 am the next day and Capital ensured that I had my new equipment when and where I required it. It's nice when a business can make it a pleasure to purchase a big ticket item.Β  Β It will be my pleasure to share my experience with all that ask and I'm sure a few that do not. These guys are the real pros.... thanks for being Amazing

I used them to replace the battery in my forklift. It wasn't cheap but they let me know the cost upfront which I liked. When the service guy came he also tried to upsell me and recommended changing the chains out for new ones. I asked him how much it cost. They gave me a price plus labor. I asked how long it would take to change the chains as I didn't want to pay too much and was told it was quick. All he had to do was remove the pins and replace the old chain with a new one and reinsert the pins. Sounds easy enough. After he removed the old chain he could not put the new one in. He spent days trying to fix it, while my business suffered without having a operational forklift. Then I get billed days worth of labor at an exorbitant hourly rate. I complained that first I didn't ask for a new chain replacement but he upsold me AND I was very clear I did not want to pay much in labor that's why I had asked how long it will take. The labor cost more than the new chains and pins. Hell I could almost buy a new forklift! I feel like I was swindled. Would definitely never do business with them again. If I made an error I eat the cost, I do not put that on the customer! Be ware doing business with them less you also get scammed!

My recent equipment purchase went smoothly from the time I enquired about the machine until delivery. The salesman, Brett, was as polite and professional as anyone could hope for. When I had a technical question, they sent out a mechanic at no charge to make sure my machine was ok, and answer all of my questions. I couldn't ask for more. Good job!
