★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very poor experience. I would never recommend them to anyone. We only needed a $75,000 second mortgage on a $1.2 million home with a $200K first mortgage to pay off some debt and thought that it would be quick and easy. The process was incredibly painful and long. They forced us to use their law firm to get the legals done. When asked what the fees would be, they couldn't give us an answer raising ethics concerns from our point of view. Our lawyer did 90% of the work and the fees from their "recommended" law firm, who I'm sure they are in bed with, ended up being over $5,000 which is insane. It's really a hidden fee over and above their excessive and almost offensive other fees + interest. The communication between both VWR and their law firm was pathetic and unprofessional. It's been one year and they just contacted us and are making us jump through ridiculous hoops to renew for another year - proof of home insurance, proof of taxes being paid, statements from other lender, a $200 renewal fee. Why does TD only require one simple signature at renewal time. These guys are a joke. We will pay off the loan this year and never go near the company again.

Paula Hutton is a wonderful resource and has helped me come up with solutions to help my customers get more out of the equity in their homes. I would highly recommend them.

VWR is extremely user friendly, with some of the lowest fees in the private lending field. And Paula Hutton is an amazing representative for this company. She walks you through all aspects of your deal. I recommend VWR to service your private lending needs.
