★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been going to Vinnie's for years now. It took me a while to find a good, trustworthy mechanic in Guelph. Vinnie is honest and respectful and gets the work done well and promptly. He doesn't try to up sell. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good mechanic in Guelph.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vinnie seems decent, but employees seem sketchy at best. Mechanic told me I need a new 3rd brake light for a safety. It will take "several hours" of labour, and they'll likely break the factory spoiler when they remove it (which will cost about $1000 between buying the part and body shop to paint it), which will be my problem, not theirs. And no, they would not safety without it (which is fair I suppose, the law is the law). I pointed out how that doesn't give them much incentive to not break it if I'm the one who'd have to pay, so, um.. no..
Bought the part myself, took about 20 min to install (and I'm no mechanic). And spoiler does not have to be removed at all. So my 20 min of work w a screwdriver saved me about $1300. To Vinnie's credit though, he did sign off on the safety once I brought the car back, though that wouldnt be much comfort if you've paid their massively over-quoted bill.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came in to have my head lights replaced, brought the bulbs myself and they charged me $115 for less then an hours worth of labour. I can guarantee you the employee that provided the service on my vehicle isn’t getting paid anywhere close to what I had been charged for his service. Straight up scam!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down the rudest employee I’ve ever encountered in my life. Just bad business, plain and simple.
I’m sure Vinnie is a great guy, but that’s not who you’re dealing with when you bring your business to this location.
My advice, go to Canadian Tire or something, at least the employees there will treat you with a modicum of dignity…

Always reasonable and knowledgeable for any work or repairs needed. Highly recommend to any friends or new people coming into town needing a mechanic. Thank you and keep up the good work!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ With our daughter is at university with major vehicle issues it is hard to handle from 6 hours away. After checking with someone on my daughters worship team at church, Vinnie's was recommended.
The vehicle was brought in and repairs were made in a timely matter with updates passed along as requested. A second repair was required (unrelated to the first) and again we were accommodated on the weekend without any issues. A great place to deal with, and made me feel quite comfortable, I would recommend Vinnie's to anyone, and if there are further issues, we know where to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a issue with the car during Christmas holidays most places were closed and found Vinny was highly recommended so I thought I’d give them a call and see MAYBE he was open to my surprise he was and he got me in right away was super patient both him and his wife right from the start very helpful..
great service all the way.
I felt very comfortable and felt he was very honest through the whole process, I will 1000% go back if I ever have any other issues.
I normally don’t do reviews but I needed to because I was treated so great.. thanks Vinny and the whole staff for giving me such great service.

We have been very happy with the quality of service and it’s great to be able to support a Guelph-based company. Over the years, Vinnie’s has provided oil changes, tire rotations, brakes and rotors service and replacement, air conditioning service, engine diagnostics, hidden hitch installs, and safety inspections. Vinnie and his mechanics have always been friendly, knowledgeable, and provide accurate and fair quotes for service. And for our last visit, he was able to fit our repair into his busy schedule at the last minute to help with our upcoming travels. We highly recommend supporting Vinnie’s business.
