About Villa Firenze
We are a family owned Italian restaurant that has been in business for over 25 years. My grandparents started this restaurant in 1991, and my parents continued the tradition for well over a decade. I am now honoured to be its third generation owner and operator. Our family has always been passionate about traditional Italian cuisine. Lovingly guarded and handed down over the years, our recipes come with a rich history.
Each one of the dishes at Villa Firenze transforms fresh, local Italian ingredients into seductive textures and memorable flavours. Our showcased signature dishes – pastas, sausage, sauces, dressings and desserts – owe their satisfying flavours to the fact that they are homemade on site. We truly provide an authentic Italian experience.

We have also hosted Christmas dinners and meals for business here and they are very accommodating with great family style options.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing dinner. We got the gnocchi in bolognese, spinach pasta with black mussels and oyster mushrooms in tomato sauce, and bruschetta. All were fantastic. Staff was also very friendly and made for a pleasant dinning experience.

The food, taste, presentation, atmosphere, and behaviour of staff makes this place a Must go to. I hope everyone will consider this incredibly delicious restaurant now that restrictions have been lifted. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A+++

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent dinner. We had the privilege of having Manuel as our waiter. He was outstanding - excellent service. All the food we ordered was very, very good. The only exception was perhaps the veggies were a little underdone but not a huge deal breaker. So good, we’ve already made another reservation for another visit. Grazie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A classy looking place inside an old house walls. No sparkling water to start, an omen? Had a sausage Appy, very good sauce and 1 medium sausage cut into 2. Very small for the price. Had Vitello Villa Firenze for a main. Veggies were raw, unable to cut the carrots, broccoli is cauliflower. Potato was dried out as if made the day before. A really hard crust. The veal was 2 tiny crepe like rolls. Mostly ham wrapped in a battered veal with a tiny bit of cheese inside. Again expensive for average food. Tiramisu for dessert was ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My gal pal invited me to @villafirenze for my birthday. She and I had both never been but she looked for online reviews of Italian Restaurants in Calgary and chose this one because of the reviews. I'm so glad she did as the food, atmosphere and staff were amazing.
I ordered us a bottle of Pinoit Grigio before she got there and they had it chilling at the table ready to go. The wine list was extensive especially for a smaller venue like Villa Firenze with Vino choices for even the most avid wine aficionados.
Our server recommended the Mushroom appy, the proper name escapes me, but boy were we glad. It was absolutely amazing. Not sure of the cream sauce they used with the large portobello mushrooms, but accompanied with the Piniot were terrific. Next the main course. She had the Champaign Veal and I the Gorganzola Veal. Both were to die for and large enough we could barely finish them especially having the appy before hand.
I absolutely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a intimate venue with great food, excellent wine list, wonderful wait staff and priced just above average Italian restaurants serving a similar type of menu. I can assure you the few extra dollars are well worth it. Please make reservations before hand as this place is obviously very popular as it got quite busy even on a Wednesday night at 6 pm.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ By far one of the worst service we have ever received. The food was mediocre. The only good thing was their mushroom starter. The worst was their server “Carla”.
We have never been so mistreated by any other restaurant. Felt very racially profiled. She purposely missed our table each time she went past it. Didn’t come once after giving water. Intact the kitchen staff that came to the table with food had to yell at her to clear the table. She actually had the time to sing to another table (to show her skills or something) and not do any of her job. We ended up leaving the food half way. Will never visit this restaurant again! They really need to fire this server!
