★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place to rest on the loop trail that includes east and west canyon trails. Nice view of golden ears and Evans peaks in spring covered in snow. There is sandy bit at south end. Relax, eat lunch and enjoy the view. Saw a couple wade across gold creek when water level is low from hikers beach. Not too busy in spring.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy and fairly short walk to get to this beach (if you take the east canyon trail).
The walk itself is along an old forest service road with some rocks so footwear with some support would be advised.
Once at the beach there's lots of room to spread out and even some campsites. Just be sure to book them online via the Discover Camping website.
This would be a great place to spend a day with kids. Just be sure to take sunscreen as there is not a ton of shade.
One word of warning though is you need to book a day pass before you go, also done through discover camping, and the parking lot (Gold Creek) fills up quickly so get there early. We were there at 930 am on a Wednesday and it was already close to half full.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Easy hike/mtb ride tobthis point. On a clear day rhe views are really good. Also just cross at this point and you are on your way up the Golden Ears

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of my favorite hikes in Golden Ears Park. It's about an hour and 20 minutes out and pretty similar back. You can get there from the connector on the Gold Creek Lower Falls trail, but the connector is for those sure footed folks. Recommend just going out and back on the East Canyon Trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is by far one of my favorite camping places.
One main reason, privacy and the beautiful flowing sounds of the creek and the simple pool to swim after a long hike to this places.
The only disadvantage is the stones but I like the stones and walking on the they are therapeutic and I have no problem laying on the them to massage the back.
Anyways it's a beautiful quiet and lovely places. A weekend gateway
