★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful area. Nice paddle up the river, good hike towards the falls and the water fall itself is absolutely gorgeous. Clean up after yourself and don't go if you're going to be trashy. The only reason this place is so great is because of responsible and courteous adventurers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice paddling and hiking. Approx (1.5 hour + 1 hour) x2. Dip or jump at the river was very refreshing! Arrive early to ensure your canoe rent.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Clean mountain water flowing from the nearby streams makes this a great place for a swim, despite being in a marsh. The water is cold though.
Since it's so close to sea level though, and due to it's proximity to Pitt River, it has a tide, meaning at different times through the day the beaches along the creek come and go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A truly serene and peaceful place so close to the city. Easy to get to with canoe rentals nearby. Get there early for a perfect day. Hiking to rock pools or stops along the beaches (when the water levels are low!). Lots of wildlife to see, otters, beavers, bears, fish and tons of birds!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went and paddled widgeon creek a couple weeks ago had a lot of fun doing it and caught a few fish in the process. Great signage lots of people. I mean lots. Nice little camp ground at the top of the creek where you paddle too with a nice hike up to widgeon falls.
