★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Viet hai has incredible food and service all around. I go to a school near the restaurant and lunch hour often gets packed. The staff do an amazing job of getting everyone their food quickly, efficiently, and to a standard of excellence. It’s definitely my favourite place for Vietnamese food and I’m glad I get to go there so often!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have ordered delivery from them several times now and the food always tastes great! My favourite is the Peanut Satay Special Noodle Soup and they give you a lot of meat. The chicken wings are pretty good as well and I look forward to trying out the other appetizers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can confidently say that this was the worst pho I have ever tasted in my life. The broth tasted so watered down that I thought I was drinking hot water instead of broth (I had to add a ton of sauce to get even a bit of flavor). The portion was also extremely small, the noodle was gone in a few bites. The staff was also unfriendly except for the female employee (the male employees would not even look at us and just drop stuff down at the very edge of the table, so we had to reach for it each time). Also, they mixed up my friend’s order (she ordered beef, but gave her chicken). Will not recommend and will not be returning ever.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food here is TOP TIER. I absolutely love the Chicken Satay Sub and can eat it for days. The atmosphere is also amazing and the service is fast. John is such a fun server, and he makes the experience 10x better. 10/10 would recommend this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've used this place for takeout and delivery (I've never eaten in). I would recommend the Hanoi spring rolls, peanut satay soup, and lemongrass subs.
I like the beef special peanut satay soup with wheat noodles (a substitution I like to make, which according to my Vietnamese friend is tasty heresy). It has beef balls, tendon, brisket, and sliced beef, a great combo, in what I find to be a good broth.
In terms of their subs, the bread they have is perfect for it (slightly chewy, and won't ruin the top of your mouth), and I prefer the lemongrass beef or chicken for the filling.
I give my rating based on the overall value for money, speed, and convenience.

Always consistently great food, warm, well packed and very flavourful. Really convenient website. The salad rolls, Bahn mi and pho are some of the best in the city. Always friendly staff. Very clean dining area and tables. Fast service aswell, even during busy lunch rushes they make sure you get your order quickly. Could not recommend enough! - Soren
