I'm currently working on one of the sites with VSS installed but for a different company. Several minutes ago I heard the automated alarm go off, it could have been an animal but there's always a risk when working alone that sets me into high alert mode.
I called the owner by mistake, at 1am on a Friday night. He was professional , composed and friendly the entire time, despite me waking him up. It was truly impressive, I doubt I'd have even half his patience in the same situation.
He put my fears to rest, and assured me that I would be contacted if anything other than an animal set off the alarms.
I often work alone, nightshift, on high profile sites. This is the first time I've been on a live monitored site, and it has made worlds of difference to my peace of mind.
