He is very personable, professional and took the time to explain the various optional available. As a result, he customised our system to meet our needs within our budget, and we are very pleased with all work performed to date.
We will be using Doyle for our sound system installation in our rec room and highly recommend "Ion Smart Security" to anyone having need for the services they offer.

Doyle happily walked me and my teams through the necessary security apps downloaded to our Smart Phones and all connections/communications were tested prior to his departure. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ During the build of our new house in 2017, Doyle Serink helped us with the planning and installation of our alarm and complete home entertainment system. Doyle supplied and installed our Sonos home theater system, additional Sonos speakers throughout the house, installed all of our televisions, satellite boxes, Apple TV, Blu Ray player and an Xbox One. The Sonos speaker system is integrated throughout the house, is easy to use, and the sound is fantastic. He also set up our Telus Internet Smart Hub to work with our computers, televisions, and everything else throughout our home. Doyle also planned and installed our home security system. This system not only monitors our house for break ins and fire, but it also monitors water problems that could occur, such as a leaking toilet or refrigerator, or sewer backing up, or the sump pump flooding. If the system detects a leak, it automatically shuts down the main water pipe coming into the house (see attached photo of the valve). This can all be monitored and controlled on our cell phone app, on our computer or at the main panel. The system also monitors and alerts us if a garage or man door opens, allows us to adjust the HVAC settings throughout the house and even open and close the garage doors, all from our cell phone. Throughout the process, Doyle was excellent to work with. I found him to be one of the most meticulous and detailed technology installers that I have ever known. Most of all, I have appreciated that since we took possession of the house, that when I do run into issues that I do not understand, Doyle is always available to help me on the phone, or stop by and help me out. We are more then pleased with the products and service that Doyle and Ion Smart Security has given us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After moving into my new home I wanted to get a security system, home automation, and TV installed. I did the usual thing and contacted three companies for quotes. I decided to go with Ion Security because they could do all three things - provide security, home automation, and install my flat screen TV.
Doyle was a really great guy to talk to and gave me several options for security monitoring, home automation, and Sonos speakers. Our whole system is voice controlled by Alexa, allowing us to turn the lights on and off, control temperature, and play music all using voice commands. For the TV install, Doyle wall mounted a 75" Sony Bravia TV, installed a Sonos Playbar, sub, and surround sound speakers. All the cables are hidden and the installation was immaculate.
In addition to the basic security system, we added a Front doorbell camera, and door lock. These are the two features I like best about the security system. The front doorbell camera allows me to monitor my front yard, and I frequently check on my vehicle with it, parked on the front street. When i get a package delivered, I can disarm my alarm, unlock my door, and let the driver place the package inside, instead of on the porch. AWESOME. Doyle also installed some LED strips in my kitchen and hooked them up to a Lutron hub.
We've since added more lights, garage door control, and more Echo dots to our system. Doyle has been great to work with and a great resource for all my home automation questions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have a wonderful custom built audio/video/alarm system from Ion Smart Security that I really enjoy using at my lake home in Lac Ste Anne. I'm able to control everything via remote wherever I am in the world - and it is a great 'safety net' for any problems I incur. Last Sunday our alarm went off while we were at the house and we were unsure what the cause was as we hadn't armed the system at that point. Upon close scrutiny it was determined that the sump pump was the cause. I instantly contacted Doyle Serink and he carefully guided me through a fix of the problem (I'm a non tech guy to say the least) while taking the alarm 'off line' to avoid it constantly going off during the repair. Being able to contact Doyle quickly and to fix this problem remotely was a 'huge' help to me - especially on a Sunday afternoon where it might have been nearly impossible to get the pump fixed. The problem is now fixed - the alarm back on line (Doyle via remote) - and I'm a happy customer receiving this type of personal service from Ion Smart Security.
