★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The pool was clean & fun. The bathrooms are nice.
But.
The bathrooms were closed for cleaning for hours at a time. The cleaning employee asked me to get out of the bathroom because it was ‘time to clean’ WHILE I WAS ON THE TOILET. The campsites have little to no privacy. Kids walked through our campsite all weekend. 7$ for a bundle of soggy wood that didn’t light. The river STINKS like a rotting carcass.
I wouldn’t recommend camping here unless you have kids that would appreciate the pool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would rate it 3 stars, congested sites, washrooms were great, staff was partially rude, girl checking the swimming registration asked us to wear masks next time, though she wasn’t wearing herself and all the staff weren’t wearing it properly. Could have been asked nicely but we foiled it rude of her. Great small town to explore.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The only good thing about our experience was the water slides at the pool the campsite we were in wasnt within walking distance to any amenities no bathrooms were open so thank god we had a camper. The black flies were beyond crazy we literally spent more on deterents and fly strips than the actual campsite... wasnt a good experience at all and wont be coming back.. think we may do a day trip to pool but definately wont be camping and we left early and they wouldnt even reimburse us for the missed camping

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great little campground, quiet and lots of nearby nature to enjoy. We saw this beaver in the creek behind our site ( see photo) just after arriving. Very friendly staff. Full service sites at reasonable rate. Realistically we basically had the place to ourselves .. After all its mid October. I do imagine in summer it could be crowded and noisy considering the closeness of sites and the pool. I'd risk it.

We are traveling to the maritimes from Alberta and back. We plan a stay on our return to see this wonderful town and campground again in the fall!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's an OK little campground within easy walking distance of downtown. Some of the sites are kind of tight with the trees. It would be nice if they cleaned the garbage out of the creek behind site 52. The sewer drain on site 52 is a long way away and almost useless. We just used one on another site when we left.
