Healthcare in the home and at the clinic. Accessible. Wide enough hallways and turning radius for wheelchairs and strollers. Thank you to our healthcare providers.

I have been here for two purposes, post-surgical care once released from the hospital and immunizations for both me and my child. The post surgical care was when I could not get a nurse to visit me at home. One of the nurses who works or worked from the this unit had an extremely abrasive personality and tried to make me feel obligated to buy a very expensive medical device. When I called my surgeon to inquire whether it was necessary he said no, absolutely not. When this nurse found out that I had done that she was very angry. I thought that that was very strange. For immunizations my experience has been variable. The free flu vaccine clinic that I attended was drop in and was fine. After my child had first vaccines done at the doctor's office, I signed my child up for the second set of vaccines, but they did not have any dates very near to the date when the vaccines ought to have happened. Some of the materials that they give you while there are quite preachy and condescending. It was not clear where one should check in and seemed a little disorganized. The person who did the immunizations was great though and my child seemed to deal with it as well as possible. However, going to make the next appointment they again had nothing close to when the next vaccines should be done. The clerk suggested that I should just start calling every day to try to get into a drop in spot. She seemed annoyed that I wanted a set appointment and said that I might not have the time to be calling every single morning and just dropping in for vaccines. So, while this place is doing a good service vaccinating people and caring for people post surgery, there is definitely room for improvement.

In the middle of a Pandemic....sorry, no Covid shot for you today. Why??? Tahdaaaaa! It's flu shot day!!!! Hmm. You know...the flu...that bug that never showed up in BC last year. So. If you don't mind you can line up for yours today! That line over there which doesn't exist unless you count the 2 security guards. Wow. EVERYONE MUST GET FULLY VACCINATED BY OCTOBER 24TH!! But we aren't going to make it easy for you. Gotta protect the masses from that good Ole flu. Priorities?? Whatever.
