★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great historical place at the middle front of Ajax! You can learn about the HMS Ajax and its travels. Although it's situated on a hill, there is a great view of the lake and it's surrondings.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A black granite obelisk creates a solemn and revered presence to these gardens honouring those who served and continue to serve in the Forces.
The layout is well thought through. It can hold a gathering of folks but also allows people to walk and ponder each little niche in the garden adorned with interesting tidbits of Ajax history. For example, I'm a graduate of UofT but had no idea that there was a UofT annex in Ajax right after WW2 to accommodate and give veterans post secondary education after returning from the service. Pretty neat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very beautiful place! It's so soothing to take long walks here. Perfect to take the kids and the dog. Great for picnics too! Highly recommended it. Parking is $20, however.
