Verona Pizza has been serving fantastic pizza and pasta to Calgarians for over 50 years! In 1964 our original location opened on 4th Street SW.
In 1988 we made the move to the downtown core and now have two convenient locations – Bow Valley Square and Gulf Canada Square.
We’ve learned a lot in the last 50 years and still use only the freshest, tastiest ingredients on all of our pizzas, including 100% mozzarella cheese. Our incredible pizza dough, plus our famous pizza and bolognese sauces are made fresh every single day.
In response to growing demand we also offer a fantastic Gluten Smart pizza, available for takeout orders at our Bow Valley location. Verona takes every precaution to prevent cross contamination, including a separate prep area, cutting boards and knives. However, our kitchens are not gluten free so it’s impossible to guarantee that no cross contamination will occur. We do not recommend our gluten smart pizza for customers with celiac disease or a severe gluten intolerance.
We even do catering – offering a wide selection of gourmet pizza, pasta, salads, side dishes and appetizers for functions of any size or for any occasion! We specialize in office parties! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ if there was an option to give them negative stars I would. I had to give them 1 star because it would not let me post with out any stars. The most disgusting pizza you will ever eat. We ordered for a team lunch was supposed to arrive at 12, did not arrive till 1:30 and once it did arrive it was the most disgusting looking pizza.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The original Verona pizza in Scotia centre served a top quality pizza. The crust was amazing with real mozzarella cheese and top quality toppings. Now, not sure if it’s a franchise, but the pizza is your typical food court pizza. That’s one step up from frozen pizza. I won’t be eating pizza there any longer. Very sad.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wish this place was open later, or had more locations. Very delicious pizza. Their bacon is actual strips of bacon!!! Never had a problem with service. Wait in line, make your selections, pay. Quick, prompt service with no hassle.
They usually have about 7 different types of pizza and all of their offerings are well made with lots of toppings and cheese. Plus their sauce is delicious.
Bottom line, best place to get thick crust pizza for lunch downtown that I have found. Prices aren't bad either.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Today, the people at Verona's went out of their way to make extra lasagnas and run them out to me to squeeze it into my tight timeline - and after their lunch rush was over. Thank you. I rarely go downtown, but when I do, the ability to stop at Verona Pizza is the benchmark my family uses to declare it a worthwhile trip. I am more a pizza person (And I grabbed some of that too), but my wife and daughter are all about Verona's Lasagna. They even surprise us with a sweet treat in the box!
Like many people, I am far less likely to write a compliment over a complaint. When I do, "good service" is 4 out of 5. This was 5 stars.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For a simple pepperoni 13” pizza they will make you wait for the whole line to disappear They won’t even answer your queries if there is people buying singles. THEN they tell you they need 2 hours to make you a simple pepperoni pizza.
Waste of time and entitled. They won’t respect your time, so be aware specially if it’s one of those days with a lot of business meetings and you just have 1 hour or less to grab something to eat.
