Best company to work for hands down, its a family. Wonderful work culture as well as opportunities to better your life. If you get hired here, consider yourself lucky

The Abby Lane phase ll construction site has spilled out onto the neighborhood for months and with comparisons to other projects within a one block radius, the Parc (Ventana) and the PAH (Lark) projects, that appear to have lower neighorhood impact. Bringing up items for improvement last June. Not sure why little has changed.

My entire experience with this contractor has been sub-par. Shoddy work, and shady staff. Profit over the environment, neighborhoods and everything else. Staying away from these modern day profiteers is the only responsible thing to do. They hire cheap druggies to do the work. Buyer beware, the poor workmanship will show itself once their warranty is over, if not before.

I don’t understand how anything gets done on Ventena Construction sites considering there is absolutely no direction, no clear instruction, procedures and clear explanations and cautions are always avoided. Any issue will be put on sub trades. We came as a third party sub trade to catch up and clean up work, and have been mistreated unfairly assessed based off previous experiences they must of had. I’ve noticed there is not one employee or trade that is happy on any level working with this company.. defenitly not something I would want my family moving into or working for. Very poor super intendent management as well. They defenitly need to invest in professional and outside sources for advisement. !

Was let go of when I told them of my surgery date. Started working there with them knowing that high possibility of surgery needed. Said laid off due to lack of work yet posted on indeed the following day for my position.

Our company has done work with Ventana multiple times over the last few years, and it has been fantastic. As a subcontractor, having clear and concise instructions makes our lives easier. The project managers have always been available for clarification and have met us on site multiple times. When it came time to billing, we received prompt payment in full. I look forward to working on future projects with this company, and highly recommend them to other trades.

I personally worked for Ventana for 6 years. Showing up every day and doing my job to the best of my abilities and beyond I would put in over time (ALOT) Promised raises and when that day came it was only 50 cents. They under pay a majority of there employees. At the time I was ITA certified With 5000 hrs. And they still paid me as a level 1 Carpenter for 4 years the only reason I stayed was because of hope I had within the company they rather give you a small Christmas bonus and pizza then a pay increase that you can actually support your family with they are supposed to be a family company I eventually quit Ventana at 23$/HR after working 6 years with them. I honestly belived they were a good company at first I am so happy I seen my own self worth as a tradesmen I can now say I am happily employed with ******* Construction at 40$/HR i'm happy I left and did not continue to waste my life with the terrible company Stay away !!!!!!!

Perhaps on the Fraser Street site they could remove the ROAD CLOSED sign that's posted on Fraser - only once in 22 years of living in the neighbourhood have I seen Fraser shut down (except traffic accidents). I highly doubt the COV approved traffic plan' calls for 'road closed' sign posted on a main road unless actually closed If, which it is not. If needed for a side street the signs should be posted at top (entrance) of THAT street, not where the signage doesn't apply because it makes no sense in current location. Certified TCP would know the signs & their order, signs required are as follows; a) Construction b) Prepare to Stop & c) TCP - with set distances separating based on road speed - and yes I have emailed their head office with this info, almost a week and half ago - no action.
