Very thankful to the clinic team who took my dog in on the weekend for surgery to remove a sharp object from his stomach before it caused any further damage. They took excellent care of my dog and he is now recovering well at home. COVID protocols are not ideal when waiting outside for long period of time. The staff are very responsive and provide all the information needed to understand treatment options.

I highly recommend this emergency Vet! I transferred my male Himalayan named Bruiser, who required surgery (cystotomy) as the first emergency hospital was asking too much and this spot has the $2,500 all inclusive surgery. He had some complications, immediately I thought how much more and the answer was nothing. Every Dr that called to provide an update, took the time to explain everything. It was also reassuring to know he was purring for the staff, which reflects the time and care they spend on the animals (as he’s usually like a tiger in a cage). If I need to use an emergency vet again, I’d go here.

Maui and I wanted to thank the doctors and the staff for their amazing care! I brought my French bulldog here at 2 a.m. on Tuesday from downtown Toronto. I knew they must have been busy because I called about 7 emergency vets that night and everyone was full. He hadn’t eaten or drank anything all day, he was shaking, and had been panting for hours. I suspected it was a GI issue, but I had no idea what the cause was. I was frantic, of course, but the staff were so kind and compassionate. I appreciated the frequent updates I received from the doctors β€” they must have called me at least 2 to 3 times each day to let me know how Maui was doing. They even called me the day after I brought Maui home to check up on him. The doctors were so knowledgeable and extremely patient with me. They were really collaborative in determining next steps for treatment and helped guide me in making decisions (i.e. what they thought was necessary, what we could maybe hold off on for now, etc). I never felt like we were paying for unnecessary tests or procedures. They were also very upfront about all of the costs and never did anything without checking with me first, so I was well informed and wasn’t surprised when I received my invoice. Was the cost of the care extremely expensive? Yes. Am I complaining? No. This is an emergency hospital, not a family vet. Normal vets are not open at 2 a.m., so anyone complaining might want to do a quick Google search for β€œsupply and demand.” The doctors and the staff here are extremely professional and compassionate individuals and provide an excellent level of care. Maui is doing well at home now and we cannot being to thank everyone at the clinic enough for all of the amazing work they did.

Our cat Matilda had complicated tail injury. We were admitted right away. After assessment the doctor explained everything clearly, gave us different treatment options, so we could choose one that works better for our cat health and cost of the treatment. Left hospital with clear and detailed instructions. Matilda was not stressed out at all. Next day we got the follow up call to see how our cat is doing. We also called the hospital after with some questions, spoke with the doctor and other staff and always got help and advise. Excellent service, very friendly, kind and professional staff. Feels like they all got β€œgolden hearts”. We are very appreciative!

My dog needed emergency surgery this past Saturday for an obstruction. We are from out of town and our vet sent us Friday night to another location in Toronto that wanted 10k (no one should ever have to choose between life and death of their beloved pet based on fees), they were able to refer us here for $2,500, so right off the start that is amazing, they obviously care about helping animals and provide an affordable fee. The care that she received from start to finish was beyond what I could have asked for. I was contacted immediately after her assessment, at the start of her surgery (there was an important finding) and after her surgery. The details that I was given was more than I expected and I was given time to ask questions and discuss my concerns. I was obviously extremely upset and the caring, reassuring voice on the other end made a world of difference; being a long weekend I am sure they probably were overwhelmed, but not once did I feel rushed. She had to stay an extra night and I was updated as to why and what was happening. Instead of rushing her home, they took the extra precautions needed to ensure she came home prepared for her recovery. I also called twice to get an update and was put through to her doctor. Today I received a call asking how she was doing, this to me is an extra step that they do and shows how much they care about the animals they see. We live over an hour away and I would not hesitate to return to this place if we ever needed emergency care again. I volunteer for a dog rescue and have highly recommended this clinic to our team. The team at this clinic is absolutely amazing!!! Our Leah thanks everyone involved in her care, but we do hope to never see them again...lol

We had an emergency when our 4mth old puppy ingested a full sheet of dog wipe. It was after hours and my regular vet office was closed. Although they had another critical case, I was not made to wait too long and they were able to induce vomiting and the entire sheet came up. The doctor was very nice, patient and knowledgeable when he called and explained everything to us while we waited in the car. I was very pleased with the service. I was surprise though as they did not inform me beforehand that they had to put an IV Catheter in and thus had to shave a portion of my dog’s front leg to do so. I am hoping it will grow back as I was warned never shave my dog as it’s a double coat breed but I understand why but just caught off guard. Overall I am very happy with the care they provided and the staff were very nice. The office even called back the next day to see how my puppy was doing. I do have one recommendation and that is to allow the owner or one person to enter with their pet. I am not understanding why if we are all wearing masks and if screened why one person is not allowed to accompany or wait inside with their pet and have to hand off at the door and wait in the car. That’s extremely stressful for both the animal and the owner. I would recommend changing this policy to reflect Ontario current policies. I am very appreciative overall that this clinic exists and know where to go in an emergency.

We had brought our cat -Lola to this Clinic near midnight of the recent storm during the May long weekend (Sunday evening). The clinic was running on a generator as they had lost power due to the storm but they still were able to accept her, treat, and examine our cat. She had an infection in one of her glands. They were quick to examine her and provide care. Dr. Alex Delblanco and the staff was very caring and compassionate even at midnight hours. We were thankful we were able to get our cat treated during a storm, on a long weekend, close to midnight. The staff called back a day after to do a follow up on our cat to see if she was reacting okay to the medication and feeling better. They also suggested us to take her to her original Vet to get a check up. I would highly recommend bringing your pets here during an emergency.

We are very happy with the care our cat received at this clinic. The staff communicated very clearly and provided frequent updates about how our cat was doing. They were very honest and upfront about all of the costs and were happy to discuss all our concerns. We even received a photo update of our little guy which was a nice touch. You may have to wait while dropping off or picking up your pet which is understandable since they are dealing with many emergency situations. Thank you to all the staff for your excellent care!
