★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I rented with Sam last year when they didn't quite have their online system/review portal going yet. I rented with Sam again this year so that should be a great indication of how I valued his service. Communication fast, went through setup, easy to contact. Just a fantastic guy. Last year I rented Sam's treeline canvas tent and absolutely thrilled they've added iKamper to his fleet. Also thankful for the little crane to hoist it onto the roof of my Pathfinder (last year we had to lift it by hand). Sam's new location is great because it's on the way out going up island so perfect as you had up and also back down to return the unit. Note: the iKamper is a BIG RTT and the clamps that lock onto your rails are also big/deep, which means you need to have rails that are higher off the roof of your car or clamps will touch and put weight on the roof of your car. My factory installed rail and rack would NOT have sufficed. Lucky for me, I purchased after market Thule Rails that raised my rack another 3-4 inches off the roof so the iKamper fit perfectly. Anyhow, I have 2 trips booked (one is done), another is next week, and I plan another in late Aug. Highly recommend - only place in town that rents RTT at a super reasonable price. Great experience - I've already recommended Sam to all my 'glamping' friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few weeks back we had an opportunity to rent a rooftop tent from these lovely folks, and it was a wonderful experience! They were a pleasure to book with and helped us select an area to explore. When I arrived to pick up the Treeline tent I was pleasantly surprised to find that I didn’t have to do anything, they professionally installed the tent and even used a really cool crane to place it on top of my truck! No heavy lifting!!! And we were off! With advice from VIRTT we found a beautiful secluded lake to enjoy by ourselves! No flat ground… no problem!!! Leveled up the truck and easily popped the tent up in about 1minute!!! What a great product!And the memory foam mattress was a dream!!! I would gladly recommend Vancouver Island Rooftop Tents to anyone looking to get out into the wilderness!!!! Top notch!!!! Cheers and happy camping ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently rented a roof top tent for the first time for our weekend camping trip. We had a great time and the quality of the tent was awesome. The service was great. Sam met us at their convenient pickup and drop off location and was great to work with.
We look forward to our next adventure and we will definitely look to rent from them again in the future!

and made sure the fit was perfect. What a luxurious camping experience we had- we are used to ground tents, I’m not sure we could ever go back unless backpacking. The tent was clean and very spacious. The pic is a view from inside the tent. Definitely recommend.

I had several rooftop rentals from them this summer and every experience was great: easy transaction, Sam has an incredibly convenient tent installation process, and gives demos for rooftop tenting newbies who need a visual on set-up. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having plenty of experience camping with ground tents, we wanted to look into changing that experience by using a rooftop tent and having the flexibility to travel from site to site each day. We discovered FarOut Wilderness rents RTT's. Since we have the appropriate roof rack for an RTT we were good to go! We had a week of adventure from the North end of Vancouver Island to the South end of the Island. Abbie and Sam at FarOut Wilderness were great at setting us up for this trip. We highly recommend checking FarOut Wilderness for your next adventure!
