β β β β β I am not from Edmonton but I love to thrift. The moment I walked into this store, I smelled urine. For real. Then, as I searched through what seemed to be a fantastic collection of used clothing, Iβve come to see that they are selling t-shirts for 8.49, even from economy department stores. They wanted $20 for used blankets. $30-$50 for used shoes, $10 for old pjs, $30 for gross molded jackets. I was absolutely flabbergasted at the little care or consideration to your store. Itβs really unfortunate.

β β β β β You can find a hidden gem every now and then.
I got the Nicholas Spark book for less than five dollars! Some items are overpriced but itβs always different every time you visit! Most cashiers are friendly too. Helpful spot when youβre in need of something and in a short budget.

β β β β β The employee was very helpful when a jacket we wanted had no price on it. She got one right away. Finding some items priced very high. Other items were a good deal.

β β β β β I enjoy going there to find great deals but I noticed some things are more expensive that the original retail tags. I asked for a price adjustment and they had no problem with that. I also find hidden jems worth way more than they are priced. Could make some money flipping them. I found most of the staff helpful.

β β β β β Lots of stuff in this store and it appears to be well organized. But, holy prices! You're better off going sale shopping at any given store. I'm not sure when the prices were hiked on clothing, but it means that I will not be shopping with value village again for clothes or anything else. I thought goodwill was getting pricey, but this is ridiculous!

β β β β β Made a donation yesterday. Always happy to donate to Value Village. I like shopping there too, especially for books for all ages. So inexpensive. Also bought some great puzzles in the past.

β β β β β They match prices and have a wide selection of cheap groceries. They ring you up quick and don't have bags (like most places nowadays) so make sure to bring your own. It was fairly busy when I went but there wasn't a line build up like other stores. Going here to get groceries from now own.

β β β β β They have a nice book selection but like everything else in the store - theyβre overpriced. Also they donβt have a dressing room anymore.m, the worker who told us this when we asked said just find a mirror and try it on there otherwise they would exchange later but no refunds. Kind of a bogus deal. So we went to a store where the clothes werenβt much more but they were new and clean and we could try them on. Done dealing with value village for clothes for sure but definitely close to quitting them altogether because theyβre asking way too much for used stuff these days. Go to Goodwill or thrift stores that arenβt chains- youβll get a better deal than value village gives you.
