★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are very friendly and offer great service. I rented a core drill, they made sure to give me a new bit so it would cut easily. When I brought it back, I was really border line for the time (got there a couple of minutes after closing time) but they stayed so I wouldn't have to pay for an extra day. The fact that I'm from gatineau also means that I wouldn't have to drive back to renfrew on another day to bring the tool back.
If i could give them 6 stars i would

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stihl saw had carb issues so i took it to this stihl dealer, charged me for a carb kit so i figured they fixed it.. aparently not.
Saw fires up but as soon as you release throttle even a bit it dies.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly enough service. Called and drove the 1.25 hrs to rent a tool they said they had but didn't, so rented a manual one. It wasn't in great shape and broke with reasonable use. I called to say it broke and expected to have to buy it from them but they said no problem, they'd weld it back together. I returned it and ended up paying more for the rental of the mostly useless tool than I would have if I'd just bought one new, and would have saved the gas and time.

My husband got a new Stihl chainsaw last year and after one use it died. We had the warranty, I brought it in with the paperwork last fall. Immediately the man working assumed we didn’t use mixed fuel without even looking at it (pretty rude in my opinion to assume). My husband is a mechanic and I explained that it absolutely had mixed fuel in it. The man then opened the fuel cap and saw mixed fuel. He took the saw and the warranty paperwork and said they would let us know.
Almost a year later and after a few calls from us they finally told us that this was not going to be covered under warranty. Absolutely ridiculous. So my husband said whatever that he would fix it and to just give it back to him. He went in to pick it up and they couldn’t find it! Said to call them back later which he did only to be told to call back again!
Finally, they found it and called him to come get it. When he went to pick it up they gave it back to him in pieces! I am absolutely mind blown by our experience and will never support Valley Rent Rite again.
