Quiet little town where you can get a few groceries, water, etc before heading to the Grasslands National Park

Very basic campground with clean bathrooms and a shower. Trees provided some shade during the heat and a little bit of cover from wind/rain. I liked that each site had a picnic table. Nothing fancy (you can tell you are in the town) but it is a short drive to 70 Mile Butte or Two Trees trail. Also has great stargazing at night.

I hope you like ants, the entire place is so infested with them I had to keep walking at any point I touched the ground or they would get all over me. There isn't a part of the campground that isn't just an anthill. Considering this campground is just a little park in a town there isn't any excuse for negligence like this. Bathrooms are okay, showers are awful but at least they are included if you get a campsite.

The most unkempt grounds of any campsite I've been to. Insanely bad ant infestation covers every square meter of this place. The showers are disgusting, the picnic tables are falling apart, and on top of that this is an incredibly small campground in the middle of town right next to a major road, street lamps, houses, the works.

Way over expectations. Basic middle campground. Cleaner than what we read in previous reviews. Not the place to spend the whole summer in but definitely a good alternative if Grasslands National Park West Block is full. By the way, couldn't find the ants everyone was speaking about!

we spent a night in aug. park is very basic. wash rooms with showers were good. i thought the park was over priced at $25 with only 15 amp plug in. there was a sani dump and a hose at the wash rooms for fresh water. sites did have picnic tables and there was garbage and recycle at the wash rooms

We were happy to stay here, the shower and washrooms were clean and open, they do accept people from other provinces and there is electricity but no water on the lot, lots of space, some of the lots are not in shade (like our no.5), hovewer no crowds here and close to main road. Good for a few nights while you explore the Grasslands park or if you stop by.

Stayed here in August 2021. I'd give it a 2.5 if I could. We stayed in a tent and based on the website we were expecting a firepit to cook our food. However when we arrived it was evident that the group firepit had been decommissioned and not used in a very long time. Our picnic table (and tables at other sites) was so decrepit we couldn't use it; it actually fell apart as we tried to move it. There were so many ants! They were everywhere, it was hard to pick a spot to put our tent. We had to move sites because there were so many ants. We moved from a site over run with ants to a site that had slightly less ants, and a slightly less broken picnic table. There was also garbage and food scraps on the ground at our site. The good: showers and washrooms were clean, and it's super close to Grasslands NP. There were also great birds right in the campground. We stayed 2 nights, which was too much. It would be ok for 1 night if you're passing through.
