I was so happy when I saw the store and I went to get some clothes. I wasn’t happy with the girl Who works there she didn’t treat me very well and also she told me to go stand somewhere because she needed a free space. And I ask for the manager to let her name what happened, unfortunately the manager didn’t even say sorry she just said ok. I don’t think that I’ll go there again. And also they need a name tag.

For me... this is home. Diverse workplace, killer soundtracks, chaste and laidback interior. Only downsideβ€”men's department accounts for somewhat 1/4 of the store's layout, comprised largely of the generic BDG brand dominating a selection that isn't very exciting.

Hip store, very good selection of clothes and a suprisingly diverse stock of vinyls. Staff were cool and knew what they were talking about. Some even gave me fashion advice and gave me information on helpful sales and deals in the store. Will 100% be returning!

Beware of online shopping at urban outfitters, worst customer service, disorganized company especially regarding the refund/return process and let me tell you why and what happened. I received a defective unit and asked for a refund/return. The company did give me a refund before I even returned the product to them. I went and called my local urban outfitters store to ask if they can take the unit and ship it to the warehouse. They said yes so I brought them the unit but they never gave me a confirmation number of some sort. Couple months passes and I receive an email saying that they never received the defective unit at their warehouse and that I will be charged for the full amount. Basically, the local store took the unit and put it back on the shelves. Apparently, says the online customer service, I should have shipped it to the warehouse myself however it is not what the girl on the phone of my local store told me (she literally told me to bring it to the store and that they would ship it themselves to the warehouse). So now, a defective unit on the shelves later, we are battling on the phone for hours to not get charged, since the employee at the local store didn't give me a confirmation number for the return. Obviously, there is a lack of communication/confirmation in the return/refund process of urban outfitters, things needs to change in this company because this is definitely the definition of poor customer service which should be the priority aspect of every company in 2020.

EDIT: I called back a second time to the customer service and they refunded me my order minus shipping fees. So I bumped up my review to a 3 starts. Still a crumby experience, but definitely better than before. Terrible online shopping service for Canadians. If there are any issues with your online order the customer service cannot help you in any way. My package was sent to the wrong location and they couldn't offer me any help, and now it looks like I won't get a refund and won't receive the clothes that I paid for. I definitely do not recommend shopping online at Urban Outfitters.

I made an online purchase, which I almost immediately changed my mind about and wanted to return. According to their website, I would be able to return the items by simply calling the customer support number. When I called, just hours after making the purchase, I was told that they actually would not be able to process a return until I could provide a tracking number (once the items had shipped out). Following her instructions, I then waited for a tracking number. Days later, when I received one, I called again to begin my return. The employee on the phone at that time told me that the previous employees information was completely incorrect and that I actually would have had to return the items before they had been shipped out, not after they were shipped. She said now that they were shipped, that I would not be able to return them until they arrived to my house. She told me that because of the previous employees mistake, I would be provided with a return label, free of charge. She even left me on hold for a minute to supposedly verify this information with her supervisor. I made the mistake once more of trusting the information I was provided with. When the items finally did arrive to my house, I called the number yet again. This time, I was told that the previous employees information had also been incorrect. She told me that the company policy was that customers must pay for return shipping and that it was actually against the law for them to accept returns if the company had paid the shipping charges. I have never heard of this supposed law stating that companies may accept returns only if the customer pays the shipping fee, but may not accept the exact same return if the company has paid the shipping fee. I have tried to find some sort of source defending what she told me, but I was unable to find one. I am therefore assuming this claim was a lie in attempt to mislead me once again. Every employee I have spoken to has contradicted the words of another employee. I have been lied to and misled multiple times, and all of the employees on this team seem to be working together to make returning this order as complicated as possible. I want to get rid of these items and I want the shipping paid for, as I was promised. I was told I would not pay for shipping costs to return these items, as I was unfairly misled into waiting past the shipping-free return period. Had I been given the correct information the first time I initially called, the order would have been canceled before being sent out and I would never have had to deal with this package at all. Nobody I have spoken to has been able to provide me any assistance in honoring the other employees offer, and their team is doing everything in their power to lie to me and avoid my return. I am one step away from reporting this purchase to my bank account as a scam. I am beyond disappointed in the service I have received on the phone. I really expected more from this company, as I have been a customer in-store many times at the Ottawa location, and have always had very pleasant interactions with their staff. The staff who are working on the phone team are severely lacking though and I will be avoiding them at all costs from now on.

I was sadly a little disappointed with this store after hearing so many good things. Though we were able to find two shirts that fit (Kind of), there were no plus size options anywhere we looked, or any jeans above a 30. This isn't a huge deal but then their mannequins were all so skinny. It felt a little off. But, I am glad that they're LGBTQ friendly! I wouldn't recommend this place of you are a bigger lady / guy.

I went to return a sweater here after a fraudulent charge had shut down my debit card and I had to get a new one. The staff was very apologetic because they could only give me store credit since I didn’t have the original card used for purchase. The guy was training a new staff member but still was super nice, quick, and considerate. The girl being trained seemed eager to learn and happy to be there. The manager (light curly hair, super down to earth) came to help me out and she was super sweet, explained their policy and walked me through why my suggested solutions weren’t allowed in the nicest way possible. she let me know to keep her updated with my situation haha because it REALLY sucks to be frauded. The only reason i was returning the sweater is so i wasn’t flat broke. so basically I have store credit for christmas gifts, better than nothing. I’ll definitely be back to this location once i actually have money.
