About Urban Butcher - Mission
Over the next decade, the popularity of animals raised organically and without the use of antibiotics, or added hormones and steroids grew, providing Beretta with the opportunity to expand its product line and list of restaurant and retailer partners. With this increase in popularity, the King City Farm could no longer keep up with the demand the market was requiring so Mike and Cynthia decided to reach out to ranching families across the country. Now our family is comprised of over 40 ranches who we know and trust, predominantly located in Western Canada. These ranches work to raise Beretta animals using the same practices and values as the original King City location and our products can be found on menu’s and store shelves across the country.

If you want top quality meat and a killer spice selection this is where you should go! The staff are always so welcoming and super knowledgeable. I have delt with this kinda service alot in my life as I don't dress to IMPRESS. Very disappointed and will not be coming back for any services offered after the way I was treated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic place to get meat from. You do pay more but it’s hands down worth it. The steak melts in your mouth and is flavoured well. The chicken is tasty. You can argue that you can get it cheaper at the grocery store but the reality is you’re losing out on so much.
Staff are friendly and the owner is there at the crack of dawn cutting meat for the day.
It’s all locally sourced and it beats going to the keg for an over priced steak.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had extra money left over a couple paycheques ago and bf and i wanted to treat ourselves a bit, so we stopped in here since my bf (a chef) had heard great things. All were true. Staff was incredibly friendly, great selection, and we got the most amazing cold-smoked steaks and spent all night salivating over them. They even had some potatoes pre-wrapped in foil at the counter so we grabbed some to go with dinner and they were great too, and cheap. We will be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Urban Butcher has an excellent selection of products with amazing quality. I feel like a kid in a candy store when I'm in the shop. I've always found I can count on the knowledgeable staff to answer all sorts of questions regarding different cuts and different ways to cook them.
