β β β β β Calgary's East Village deserves a better grocery store: I hope one opens soon. This shop reminds me of places I've visited in less developed countries: limited selection, random arrangement, just the basics.

β β β β β This place has given us food poisoning on multiple occasions. Lots of food out of date, and some sketchy looking labels.. You can't make up best before dates!

β β β β β George the Owner is rude, obnoxious, arrogant, and over charges his customers. They mark everything up because they know they are the only store around. The owner/manager's customer service skills are non existent, and he treats people like garbage. I will not shop here again.

β β β β β Reading a few negative reviews on the friendliness of the place. Staff has always been friendly with me and anyone else while I've been shopping there. Sure prices are high but that's a convenience store for you.

β β β β β The prices are ridiculously high. It's good for getting those essentials like milk and bread, but I wouldn't buy the "fresh" fruits or vegetables

β β β β β The owner should be ashamed of his prices, way too high since there was no grocery store in east village. Old products too. I hope he goes under now that Superstore is open. The people who are saying his prices are reasonable have been taken advantage of, because his prices Are HIGHER than the average convenience store.
