★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Spent 20 minutes at the self check out with only a handful of items. This happens every time I go (which means this has happened over 50 times since I live nearby). The machine always requires staff to come over to override the system since it always believes you have removed an item from the bag when you haven't. There is usually a wait for staff to notice the issue. Until they get new self check out registers, I am never going back. It has been a negative experience 100% of the time and leaves customers feeling frustrated. Please update your system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For my first time grocery shopping downtown, I was surprised to find this place. Clean and spacious and lots of selection in all departments.
The best part is the aged meat locker beside the butcher counter.
It's awesome.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are some serious issues with this store. The staff are miserable and pass it onto the customer. I have stopped shopping here because of how awful and rude the staff are at the self checkout. Completely rotten organization inside and out.
Self checkout lady started screaming at me when she didn’t see that I paid for a reusable bag. So awful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love going on the first Tuesday of the month to get the discount. saves me a ton on groceries. downer because if you go in the evening everything is gone off the shelves and they don't stock back till the next day. and quit trying to get rid of products with a discount on almost expired products. still love Safeway lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a Safeway, much like any other; I mostly go there for Air Miles. A pretty sizable parking lot and a handy location for those who live or work downtown. Be warned: no gift cards accepted at the self serve checkouts, which are most of the checkouts at the store.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Takeout Buffet section is great for a fairly inexpensive lunch. Sandwich station is amazing and much cheaper and better quality than any of the 'fast food' sandwich/sub places.
Don't know much else about this location as I've only stopped in a few times to grab lunch.
