Needed some pillows to go with my new quilt. Urban Barn always has a great selection. Not sure of the gals name that assisted me, but she was lovely and put an earnest effort into my ideas. Sales associate #5753. She is the definition of a good Customer Service experience.

I purchased a dinning room table for 2000 (before tax) and 6 leather chairs with a total of 4700.00, I was told they’re in the Mississauga warehouse and will be delivered in a week - this was a huge selling point for me. I then received the table, with a scratch (photo below) and receive an email saying the chairs will be delivered in about 2 months. After spending 4700.00 on table and chairs that was promised to be delivered within a week, I emailed customer service a couple times and called the store twice (the store told me there was nothing they can do about it and customer service never replied to my emails). Now I’m stuck with a 2000 dollar scratched up table and no chairs. Worse 4700.00 I’ve ever spent, worse customer service.

I really like Urban Barn, it's such a beautiful store, filled with beautiful thing's. HoweverΒ  I feel the need to shed some light on the sales staff. My husband and I entered the Stoney Creek location, as we walked in I noticed two young sales ladies, scanning us over, very unwelcoming and with an obvious look of disapproval. Honestly it felt like we had entered a grade school playground rather than a professional business. We were both shocked and surprised to experience this. I feel the need to remind the two young sales clerks, that although customers may not appear to 'look' like they have money (which shouldn't matter regardless) do not prejudge. By ignoring customers, or treating them poorly based on how they look, you do much more than lose a sale, you damage the businesses reputation.Treat every customer that walks into the store like gold and you will find that not only will you sell more but the customer will happily tell their friends and everyone they know. By ceasing to judge people, you bring genuine kindness and a better customer experience to everyone. Even if the customer can’t buy the $1800 dining room table right then, they will remember you when they can. It's a shame really, we had money to spend that day but the lack of genuine kindness and gradeschool behavior left us taking our business elsewhere.

I overall enjoy shopping at the store but with their new covid hours it’s almost impossible to make it on time after work before they close. Closing at 6pm during the week is ridiculous and makes no sense for the majority of the population who work regular business hours. I can understand during the first lockdown reducing their hours but they shouldn’t still be reduced and shouldn’t only be reduced to during the work day only. It would be smart and more efficient to have a few days where they open later and close later to accommodate people who work during the day. I’ve been trying to make it in for sometime to buy a couch and last time I got there right before they closed and was turned away cause they were closing in 5 minutes. I’m sure if I mentioned I was ready to buy a sofa they would have stayed open but instead the sales women stopped me and told me she forgot to lock the door to stop customers from coming in. So in reality 6pm isn’t the closing time, it’s when they find suitable to just lock the door so customers can’t come in and stay a minute past 6. Getting out right at 6 was more important for the sales women that day it seems!

Michele was amazing! I walked in totally lost with how to decorate my living room and she listened to me and helped me find many pieces. She was so helpful that I asked about dining room as well. Everything she chose is perfect and would not of been able to do myself. I will be returning to get some more accent pieces. So much beautiful items and friendly service. Can't wait to finish the rooms with her help.

Purchased a custom sofa from Lefki at Urban Barn in Stoney Creek and she was fantastic to deal with. Extremely knowledgeable, warm and friendly. The store is great because you can purchase mid to high end home pieces within a very casual atmosphere. Lefki was genuinely interested in finding out specific details about my design plans as we looked through fabrics. Went back for other items and spoke with another friendly and knowledgeable lady. I believe her name was Elizabeth. She was also wonderful. Highly recommend
