WOW!!! I called them to replace my 2 bunks on my boat trailer. I was told it would be around $150 and it ended up being $250 for 2 pieces of carpet, 2 boards 8 feet long and 8 screws plus labour. I religiously check all my trailer lights whenever I tow and I have been for 50 years. So, naturally I checked them before I delivered my boat to these guys. They were working just fine as they are brand new lights and wiring installed 2 months ago with zero problems. When I hooked up to go home my lights didn't work and I noticed a 1 foot loop coming from my passenger light which wasn't there before. After I questioned why my lights no longer worked, they came out to see what the problem was. It ended up that both running lights were burnt out, so they replaced them.....for an additional whopping $60!!! So, in essence, if you want to spend $300 for a couple of boards and 2 8x12 inch pieces of carpet, 8 screws and 2 light bulbs, this is the place for you. I am a senior on a fixed income and did not like being taken advantage of in this way. Needless to say, I left there in a very angry state and was TOLD never to come back, which I can't afford to any way. All I will say is buyer beware...$20 for 2 light bulbs??? WOW!!!

How I wish I had read these reviews first and had been smart enough to realize that many of the 5 star reviews were from new boat purchasers and the 1 star reviews were from customers who wanted good service. I brought in my older Mercury outboard for a tune-up and was told it was in "great condition" and would be worked on for a cost of $1400. Much later they phoned and said the boat was ready and the bill was $2400. After I expressed my displeasure they did some numerical hocus pocus and the bill was now $2000. I bit the bullet and paid up. As I was leaving Judy told us the mechanic said it "runs like a clock!" A few days later I put the boat in the water and it started well and would idle fine but would cough and sputter and jerk at anything faster. I was sure to use fresh premium gas. I pulled it out of the water and went directly back to UCM. A few days later Randy (service manager and part owner) called to tell me there was water in the tank and that it needed more parts and work for an additional $600. Well, I thought fool me once...shame on you. Fool me twice..shame on me! I went back to UCM within 20 minutes of that call and got my boat out of there. I have owned and operated more than one business and know when a service managers explanations does not pass "the smell test". Telling me that my fresh gas had water in it to shift the blame to me just doesn't cut it. Apparently they are excellent "new" boat sales people, but when it comes to service....read the 1 star reviews carefully. There is a good and valid reason I took the time to write and submit this review. Very disappointed and angry. Ed Roberts Havelock

Just purchased a new Lund 1775 Adventure and the service was stellar. Angie and Doug (new salesman) were knowledgeable and gave their genuine opinions, but at the same time listened to me. There were no high pressure sales tactics used when I said no to options. In the end I got a deal I’m comfortable with and I would do business with them again.

Don't get your boat shrink-wrapped here, total waste of money! They did not do the inboard outboard motor, we had to. And the wrap is so thin, the snow weighed it down and it made a hole in the top. Also, because it was so thin it couldn't hold up and stayed on the boat instead of sliding off. Now I have to go out and try to get the snow off, and I can't breathe in the cold. Thanks for the shoddy workmanship and taking my money for nothing!

Terrible terrible service. If I could give them zero stars I would. Very unprofessional, they never take responsibility for their work. It's always the costumers fault. I been taking my boat here for a few years and every time I have to bring it back because something is not working, their answer is always "is an old boat" I find that answer to be an excuse for them not doing the job properly. Good mechanics can fix old and new boats. Take your boat somewhere else. In response to your answer to my complaint: 1 You NEVER offered a solution, please don't lie. 2 I did not come in to your business yelling and screaming, I yelled and screemed after I told Doug that my kids ages 3 and 5 were stuck in the lake for 2 hours last year because the boat was not fixed properly and his answer was "that's why you have whistle and paddles for" so yah I yelled as my kids safety is my priority and his answer was unnecessary. You might also like to add to your answer that I send a letter apologizing for my behavior. 3 No, I'm not satisfied with your work. You should read my letter to your company before you answer 4 I will not allow you to defame my character in order to make your business look good.

We have had Upper Canada winterize, wrap and store our boat for the last few years and the service has been quick and friendly! We pickup and drop off and they have always had our boat ready when they said it would be! They have also always been able to have it ready quickly in the spring! Highly recommend!
