This location of Canadian Tire is lacklustre at best. The store is in good, clean order, however it's not a location where I find you build any rapport with the staff. Now, there are a couple older staff member who go above and beyond and actually care that you'll be a returning customer(shoutout to paint and automotive departments), but I often get told when looking "that's not my department, I don't know ...", rather than "this isn't my department, but let me help you find someone that may know a bit more ." I was also under the impression that when in retail, especially if the customer has a full cart, even though it's near closing time, you don't want to hurry them out of your store, that's what I was taught anyways. This location, I find, everyone is lined up and eyeballing you to get out the second that clock hits 9 pm, management included. I've even heard some of the students vocally state how annoyed are and they don't get paid to stay past 9. I tried to inquire about the price of a trailer but could clearly tell it was too close to closing so didn't bother. I purchased it elsewhere the next day. I've spent thousands of dollars here, because of proximity but I'm finding myself taking the time to drive out to Rona when the schedule allows for it because I actually feel like my business is valued and I'm not just "another customer". The store also recently moved its aisle 66 clearance items, that were well displayed, to a terrible stacked rack that, to me, seems like a safety hazard. You have to get on your hands and knees if you want to really see what they have there and the items on top are too high up. That's no way to clear out your stuff. I give you guys 3 stars, rather than 2 because of a handful of awesome staff who should be noted for their above and beyond efforts (you ladies know who you are !)

Long lines, not enough cashiers or people on the floor to answer questions or help customers. Store is good otherwise but I feel it has a staffing problem.

A miserable place to shop at. The selection is ok, but the aisles are too narrow, the carts are all seemingly from circa 1982, and every single employee seems miserable and will either ignore you or do the absolute bare minimum. When you're here, they make it crystal clear that you're nothing to them.

Bought a few items but couldn't find the bulk of the items I required. Scarcely any staff on duty ~ always. Items are far, far too expensive if they are not on sale. Won't take returns from other locations?

Paid for 4 wheel alignment and right upper strut mount only to have both services come back to haunt me two weeks later. Chuck is the technician who worked on my car. Chuck was not available to speak with on April 20th when I was upset about the state of my car. In fact Chuck is the only person who has knowledge of my vehicle. There were no inspection reports or even a written estimate done upon my car entering the garage on April 7th. Any problems found upon a steering inspection not indicated. The actual 4 wheel alignment adjustments not found in the Automotive Service Desk computer. Printouts of the Before and After Alignment Readings not found. Today, April 25th, Chuck not around at 11:30am. The strut mount twang sound on my right side reappeared over this past weekend. No effort to make an appointment to look at that given by Automotive Service Advisor. Happy 100th Anniversary Canadian Tire!

Bought an extension cord on sale at $99.99, next day was at Costco and similar one was $54.99 (same length and gauge). Today went back to Canadian Tire to return extension cord with original packaging and receipt, "General Manager" said she would NOT take it back because cannot put it on the shelf as new (was not rolled to factory perfection and cardboard handle broken on package). Felt sorry for young cashier who I asked to call the manager. He came and allowed me to return it. Cashier said he was the owner. Writing this review because the "General Manager" stunned me with her ignorant treatment. I will reconsider any future purchases at this location.

Terrible customer service regarding a return. Although my receipt stated the item could be returned until Dec 24th (Christmas decor) they would not honour the return at this store and told me I would have to drive to the store it was purchased at. Did offer any other option or store credit. They are privately owned and do not need to comply with other stores standards - as they have their own policies. This is the first review I have written as a consumer and unfortunately did not feel valued or respected.

Automotive Service very good through Emma. I have use their service perhaps half a dozen times and had one complaint about grease marks on my car through the very busy tire change over season and that is understandable. They were very apologetic. Yes I certainly would go back there.
