β β β β β I dropped into this location hoping to get an oil change and tire rotation for my vehicle. Surprise, surprise, they donβt offer anything but tire work. So, Plan B was invoked and tire rotation it is!
Jeff O. in the Tire Centre explained that it was a 2 hour wait; I have lots of time on my hands at the moment. He queued me/my vehicle up but also took the time to update my online customer file. Apparently, 3 other previously owned vehicles were still on file. Deleted!
After inquiring about all-weather tires and their quality, performance, and pricing, Jeff relayed the very positive customer experience/feedback and the fact that I would save over $200 for four tires compared to what was now installed. The kicker was that tire tread life expectancy was 100,000 km. Amazing information! I said he sold me...on my next tire purchase.
Thatβs five-star customer service!
During my wait I toured the store.

β β β β β Costco is a very good place to get brand name stuff at a good price. We like itβs meats, vegetables, jewellery, and everything... I sometimes find great books and home decorative items there as well. They do good weekly or biweekly sales on random items whether in the their flyer or not. Their return policy is amazing. The kids like to eat there. We shop there on regular basis.

β β β β β Was not having a good day. Went to Costco and couldnβt find a certain product. Joel saw my frustration and ask if he could help. That guy went out of his way to help me. Costco didnβt have the product and he apologized (not his fault) for it. Heβs such a nice guy and managed to change my mood. That man deserves a raise. Thanks Joel

β β β β β Talk about going above and beyond. This is a big shoutout to the whole Tire Center team. I drove over a pothole right in front of Costco on my way to Ottawa and barely managed to get the car to the Tire Centre. The team took the car in and got me back in the road within 20 minutes after putting on the spare and rotating the tires so that I can make it to Ottawa safely. These guys deserve recognition. Very grateful to you all.

β β β β β Kim at the membership desk is so helpful and absolutely wonderful at her job!! She is such a people person and is always delighted to serve you!! Great experience every time!! Also, one guy who works in the TV section (I didn't catch his name), explained in detail the difference between each TV. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful.

β β β β β Typical Costco experience. Was very busy, glad to see most tills were open, still a line-up to get to the till. Decided on self-checkout as no line to those tills. Typically go through with teller as I find it much easier to checkout larger items.

Not to mention the amazing price savings on dozens of products that you can simply not find better priced Anywhere in the city.

Costco is awesome. I think lots of people discount the idea of buying a membership as they think they don't need 5 gallons of mayo or something like that... but what makes Costco great is the customer service and the quality of products they bring in (that you often can't find anywhere else locally). If you do take advantage of some of their bulk pricing (which most people could with staple items) you'd likely pay for your membership in savings. But, regardless, the membership is worth it alone for their incredible return policy and unbeatable service (the staff always seem friendly and happy -- presumably because Costco takes care of their people, valuing them as humans who make their business great -- what a concept!).
