We went to the Keg Sudbury tonight while in the city on business - I have never been so disappointed with a Keg. I do tend to dine at the Keg at least once a month...(I travel quite a bit in Ontario and always make a stop at a Keg). The server forgot our bread. My guest finished his french onion soup, (35+ minutes after being seated) and we still had not received it, so I asked our server for it as he was walking by our table. I always ask for cheddar butter with my bread, which the server commented "you know your Kegs!", and then never brought it. I ordered the 10oz prime rib w/ twice baked and extra frizzled onions. The order came...potato was burnt on the top, and the frizzled onions was a warm ball of oil - it was disgusting! I took them off my plate and cleaned the oil off and away from my prime rib and potato. Grabbed my napkin and squeezed - you can clearly see how much oil came off them (napkin in photo), leaving a floury onion paste. My server returned mid way though our meal on a walk by and said "everything going good?" I stopped him and told him of my meal concerns. He took the side plate of onions away along with my napkin. The manager returned 10 minutes later (2 bites left of my prime rib) with a heaping plate of fried onions for me (with no napkin replacement). I asked her what I was to do with that? she said they are for you with no charge (!?!?) and then thanked me for telling them or they would have served the original frizzled onion batch all night... does quality check mean anything to you?? There was an oil patch on my plate leaving the kitchen, and I had to let you know?? I received our bill, no offer of desert or discount on my meal. The food quality and service at this location is horrible, and its not a true reflection of the service, food quality, and consistency the Keg offers.

The food was delicious and the service was great. Only 4-stars though because they didn't tell us until after we ordered that their debit/credit machine was down and we would have to pay cash. Resulted in me having to make a run to the ATM at the gas station next door and paying a service fee to take cash out. I was also overcharged for my meal. It was listed at $47 on the menu but my bill read $52.

Been to this Keg twice. I travel, and like the Keg for its consistency. This is the second time I've had a new person serving me. Maybe its the pandemic, maybe its management, either way, the consistency was not there. I have a simple order. I order a garden salad then add a 6 oz steak to it. I do this because the salad portion is much bigger. I have done this at every Keg I've been too. This time, however, the meal came and I knew that they charged me for a steak dinner with a side salad. The new server said they don't have an add on for salad. News to me. I also had to ask a roving manager for bread, and was seated for a long time, by Keg standards, before I was greeted at the table. Food was typical of the Keg. I will avoid this Keg in the future. Ill try another local steak spot this week when I return to Sudbury.

The restaurant was clean, the server was fantastic, and they were abiding by COVID-19 protocols. However, these are just the basic expectations anyone should experience at a restaurant like The Keg. The rest of this review (and my rating) is related to the food options at The Keg, or really the lack of them for someone with a soy allergy. After my server checked with the kitchen, the only protein I could eat was the lobster. I have more options at most fast food chains. Why is there soy in the steaks?! I know soy tends to be used to enhance meats, but I can't understand why a restaurant who prides itself on its steaks would need to use it. I've eaten steak at 3 other restaurants in Sudbury who specialize in them, none of them use soy in their steak. We thought we would try The Keg since we hadn't been there in years and we were all craving steak. This will unfortunately be my last time.

Amazing Food Super friendly; kind, & courteous staff!!?? Prices have gone up, however that's not on The KEG, that's just the world we live in Only concern I have is... I requested my side dish of asparagus to be grilled. When I received it, it was clearly not grilled!! Our 'awesome waitress Karen' went and checked why. The response she got was they didnt have room on their grill ?? when you are paying $220 for a meal and they just ignore such a simple request-this is far from acceptable!!! Karen ?? did go and tell the kitchen to make me up some grilled asparagus. Clearly they were not happy with this as the newest side dish was potentially dropped on the grill for a moment and then on a plate. I appreciate the effort from our awesome waitress!!! However remain so disappointed for a restaurant that we have usually loved visiting

Food is good. Follow covid 19 safety instruction. We made the reservation late at the day, but they still accepted. We got our table when we arrived. Waiting for 20 minutes for our dishes. Everything is really good. Will come back.

I love keg steakhouse cause of the quality they maintain and no surprise, but after few visits in the Sudbury we were very disappointed. Where to start the food, service, etc. I ordered calamari all the time every time at this location there sometime off about, one it was uncooked, other time of over cooked dry, lobster felt old for some reason. Second time I went I got my meals before my appetizers, I asked the server β€œ we get meal before appetizers β€œ he was like I guess so ( I think was a kitchen person) we had a different server. But this kinda felt like not keg for sure. The billy miner pie was the star of the show. But the overall experience was very disappointing
