★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm sure no one has ever heard of this location if they are not in aeronautical studies, but occasionally there are events and promotions held at this location and I highly recommend attending. Very knowledgeable people and a great location for what they provide.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I attended grad school here and was also hired after defending. Overall, the research here is pretty top-notch. Outside of that, UTIAS is an abysmal institution. Students have regularly complained to the Director when thesis reviews take over 6 moths (!!), without any action. The health and safety is non-existent. Buckets to collect water from leaky ceilings, animals feeding inside the building (see pictures) and a lot of disregard for concerns raised by non-professors.
If I had to do grad school all over again now, thankfully there are other universities doing cutting-edge aerospace research without the terrible quality of life here. Definitely would not choose UTIAS.
