*Do not rent here* They tried to charge us $400.00 CAD for “damages” to the roof. We had to go in to get the pictures of the before inspection because they couldn’t promptly send them to us via email. Upon review of the images we were able to prove that the “damages” were already there prior to our rental. If you do decide to rent I strongly suggest you take videos (highest resolution on your phone) and cover every square inch of the vehicle for when they try to pull this stuff. Please note that our experience is not the first or the last so take that into consideration when renting here. I will give the general manager credit for resolving the issue promptly when we presented a case to him proving that the “damages” were already there. At the same time this should have never happened to begin with. If this happens to you make sure to email the general managers with public relations email address and the customer service email address in copy which can be found on their website.

Don’t stepping into the trap. When you reservation any vehicle which you want and wanna pick up next to you online. They will call you soon and tell you not available, if you want it , have to go to the main store , it means you have to pay extra miles .

Nothing against this location personally as the staff here were quite helpful. But my experience with uhaul as a company was absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I would pay double what I paid just to NOT support this company as a result of my experience. You “reserve” a truck to only be told a week before I’m moving my family to another province that a may not have a truck. When I called to try and figure it out I was passed along like your local lady of the night to several different people. To have to explain my situation over and over and no one seemed to care. Only to be told that they will call me the day before to tell me if I have a truck or not. Fast ford to day before…. No one called me I had to call as I’m in a panic to know if I have a truck or not. First I was told Coquitlam… then I call Coquitlam on my own accord as I didn’t trust them to drive that far as I’m in Langley. Nope don’t have a truck sir. Call the company again. Ok now you must go to chilliwack. That’s a nightmare I was in Vancouver at the time but whatever I was desperate at that point being a day before my move. Once again I call to make sure the location has my truck. Once again nope sorry sir not sure why they told you… thank the lord I called again cuz I would have been so made that unsuspecting clerk may have been assaulted from no fault of his. Call the company AGAIN and no one seems to concerned how I’ve been treated or willing to do anything. I was the one working for them for god sakes. Sorry this is so long but man it was an awful experience, when moving is already stressful enough. Long story short I made it happen and found a truck for myself at the marine location which why the eff wasn’t this suggested right away 10 mins from where I was. Do yourself a favour and hire movers for the few extra hundred dollars. The stress this awful company will put you through ain’t worth it! Trust me

Well it's always an adventure with uhaul but the last few times have been fairly pain free. I had a hitch installed on my Dodge Avenger today. Service was very friendly and they completed the job within a few hours. I did dispute the pricing as my email invoice said $510 and they charged my credit card $524. When the job was complete they told me it was $600. I produced the original invoice for $510 and after a few minutes they decided to give me the hitch for the $524 they charged my card. Since they originally said the price was $510 it's definately not the best result but $524 is a pretty good deal so I didn't argue the point. I've seen other reviewers complain about this as well. Keep all receipts and take pictures of any paperwork they have. Regardless I hope Uhaul continues down the path of bettering their customer service as they have improved tremendously in over the last few years. I do want to say the whole staff was very friendly and helpful the whole time.

We booked a Uhaul at the end of March to pick up on April 30th. When we arrived, their system was down so it took over 2 hours to speak to the employees. Once we finally got to the front of the line, we were told that the reservations department "missed" our callback to confirm the truck would be available to pickup. After being told there was nothing they could do and they didn't have a truck for us, we were told to step out of the line so the attendant could help the next customer. I had to spend the next 1.5 hours calling a Uhaul manager at the reservations department to get assistance in finding us a truck. All of this headache resulted in us missing our ferry booking, which we lost over $150 from that alone. This was also on the last day of the month, when we had to be out of our apartments by the end of that day. There were also NO other trucks available in the city to rent last-minute as it was the last day of the month. The uhaul employees gave us a pathetic $50 off our bill (which was over $800) and we were told that we would be contacted in 72 hours to discuss further compensation. We never received a phone call. Tried to email UHaul and were told that they wouldn't provide any further compensation. Save yourself the headache and book a different moving company. Uhaul doesn't care about customer service or the fact that they were 100% accountable for the mistakes. What's the point in making a reservation 6 weeks in advance if they don't ensure you'll even have a truck on moving day? 0/5 stars is what they deserve.

Had the misfortune of using their services twice. Slow, unfriendly customer service, long line-ups both times. Neither time was a good experience. However, the last time after receiving my receipt, and I had to get on the phone to dispute extra charges. The employees can't even do basic math to get the right kilometre total and way overcharged. Eventually they re-issued the receipt, but kept an after hours service fee, even though I had told the lady at the counter when making the reservation that my phone had no internet. She assured me that was fine as their store has WIFI. The internet did not function at the time I returned the vehicle so I dropped the keys off and the vehicle where I was supposed to, but I was not able to login to my account to go through their after hours form. They flat-out refused to refund the fee and tried to overcharge just because they don't think people read their receipts. Dishonest thieves is the best description of the people that work at this U-Haul location. Go anywhere else.

Long line ups, slow customer service when coming in to pick up truck. It took an hour to get out of the centre. I even did pre-check-in yet the person tediously asked all the same questions like a robot. Was not told when extending the rental for one extra day I would be charged for two. Also was not told that I would be charged 3X for blankets, dolly and for insurance. Total scam. I could never recommend this branch. At least returning the vehicle wasn't as painful as picking it up.

When I picked up the car the front desk told me that the gas tank was only 1/16 so they would give me a $40.20 credit but I need to return the car with 1/4 of the gas. When I got the car, the gas tank was empty. Then I ran to the front desk and told them they only let me take a picture. I went to the gas station pay $80 only get 1/4 the gas. When I returned the car, I used uhaul's app, but I couldn't upload the photo of the car's kilometers, but I took a photo, and my fuel level was more than 1/4. Received uhaul's bill the next day, they charged 6 liters of gas, and they didn't give me credit. Then I went to the service department to complain, the service department told me that the fuel tank was empty when I returned the car, and they didn't prove it, but I have the photos I took when I returned the car, and I have sent them to them, and they seem to pretend they don't have any see. Also said I didn't finish my return. But they don't know that their app can't upload photos .
