Went for brunch with friends living in Edmonton. We enjoyed all plates on the menu, especially the dutch baby and breakfast sandwich. Also, thanks to our waitress for her warmth.

My wife and I went to Tryst for our Anniversary. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgable about their food & drink menu which was unique & inspired! The dining room is modern & inviting. The custom mimosas we were served were easily the best I’ve ever had. I had the eggs Benedict which had an incredible flavour palette and was served exactly the way I ordered it. My wife had ordered the brussels sprouts which had an incredible flavour (and I’m not a Brussels sprout fan!) I can’t say enough good things about this restaurant from the staff to the atmosphere to the food. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anybody looking to support one of our local restaurants doing it right! Well done Tryst.

Wow, What A Great Food Experience. Four of us shared 7 small plates (whew, we were full) and what an adventure! Seared Scallops, Pork Bao, Carrots, Warm Squash Salad, Ricotta Gnocchi, Hasselback Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts. Each one came with delicious accompaniment and sauces to do die for. Each one, even those like carrots and brussels sprouts were outstanding. The drinks were good, the service was good, we salute the highly skilled kitchen.

Recently checked out this great little place in St Albert. It was such a great experience, loved the presentation and all the little plates. It was nice to get to try so many different foods without them being huge portions. The food was amazing, especially the scallops! The atmosphere was wonderful and cozy. Definitely a great experience overall. Well done Tryst!!

Small restaurant but packed with personality. The drinks are amazing and food was really good. They have a lot of options for meat eaters and vegetarians. Staff was also friendly.

Food was spectacular, loved all the different combinations of flavours and aromas, as well as having an excellent server. All in all, one of my favourite dinning experiences in #YEG (only took a couple of pics as each dish looked too good - had to dig in!)

Had high expectations but my experience fell flat. They plate their dishes beautifully but I found the flavours surprisingly lacked depth? Portions are small for the price. Atmosphere and service were good however we were disappointed with the 90-minute time limit, so our catch up time was cut short.

I would say my first dining experience at Tryst was fairly good. We were a table of three and ordered seven plates to share (one of which I forgot to take a photo of!) We were full at the end of meal and even had a couple pieces of fried butter chicken to take home. I would give four stars for the food. My favorites were the house-made sourdough bread with whipped brown butter and the ling cod. The one thing that struck me as odd was that I wouldn't call Tryst a "casual" restaurant, and yet the hostess and waitresses were dressed very casually. For example, the hostess wore a pair of high-waisted pink pants with a cropped t-shirt and a Lululemon crossbody bag while our server wore a white tank top with thick straps and a white mini skirt. There is nothing wrong with dressing comfortably; I just didn't think it went with the vibe of the restaurant. The service was inconsistent. The first few dishes came out quickly and then the last two dishes appeared to have been forgotten. A server (not the one we had the entire night) asked if we were still waiting for more dishes. When we said there were still two remaining, she checked up on them. Our waitress was still around, but did not serve us for the remainder of the evening. There wasn't any communication about the servers switching, so it left us kind of confused.
