★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was considering modifying my seven-year old home security system to take advantage of new technological developments. I met a representative from Trilex Security at the Ottawa Home and Garden Show and I was pleased to discover that there is a Canadian company providing security services to Canadians using the latest technology at competitive prices. The representative, who was low key in his approach, proposed to provide a better service for less. I am always skeptical about these offers but I nevertheless agreed to have an evaluation done on my house.
As a result of the evaluation, I changed my security provider to Trilex. I now have a more comprehensive security system with additional upgraded sensors that include CO and flood warnings. For a small additional fee (about $4/month), I am able to monitor my residence over the internet. I recently travelled to Europe and I tested the system and it worked as described. I was informed in near real time of activity through my mobile phone. You can also activate and de-activate the system.
The system works as advertised and I now have a modern security system which is much better than the one it replaced and it costs me less. As a bonus, it is a Canadian company monitoring in Canada; not an international one.
Finally, the personnel from Trilex have been extremely helpful during the transition from the old system to the new one. I highly recommend this product and company.

We were offered a package that covers monitoring for burglary, fire, flood, low temperature, and carbon monoxide. After 3 years I moved from one for the big service provider to Trilex and I am so pleased I made this decision
The sales person, the technician, and the office staff were all very professional. Very personable service and very prompt service. all installation was done on less than a day and very professional installation. they care about each and single detail

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased a security system and additional 3 cameras in December. A week later my 2 smart cameras didn't work. Trilex without hesitation came over twice to resolve the problem. This is what I call customer service. The sales manager Ehab and associate Teresa and their install tech team were fantastic. I am glad to have them as my security provider and monitor my house. This Company is very thorough, personable and understand servicing clients. Highly recommend Trilex, you will not be disappointed. Congrats for having a great staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been a residential customer for the past 3 years. Trilex took over the contract from my previous monitoring service. Their prices are much more reasonable and they have a local presence. I have found their support to be excellent as well. I recently had a technical issue after switching my phone service from Rogers to Primus. Even though Primus voip is not officially supported to work with home alarms, the technician went out of his way to resolve my issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I switched to Trilex security monitoring a few years ago, having had several security monitoring service companies in the past. (Trilex did not install my original system.) Trilex has consistently offered exceptional service. I have not been disappointed; to the contrary, I continue to be very pleased with their services. They are probably the best monitoring company I have had. Their charges are reasonable, their service very thorough and professional (in taking over my system, they found a problem with my set up that 4 previous companies did not properly test for), and they keep their long time staff who get to know you and respond to your needs (and each staff is very skilled in what they do), and the company generally goes above and beyond providing basic service to make sure you are perfectly served. They offer feedback on any problems in reaching your emergency contacts, are not pushy but will offer ideas to improve the security when you request it, and they help in saving money by providing ideas or physical help. I highly recommend this company and have been very satisfied over the years as a long term customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was introduced to this company many years ago at an annual Home and Garden show. At that time I was with a major security firm and liked the gravitas that a long established firm brought to the table. The Trilex representative offered a better price for the same services and noted it was a local firm - so I opted to transfer to Trilex.
Since then I have been very pleased with their services - my perception is that it is a smaller firm that is willing to go the extra mile to earn your respect and business.
Recently we changed our telephone service and that impacted our security system. Trilex noted that our equipment was overdue for an upgrade and that, as a long-standing customer, the price for the upgrade would be significantly reduced. The upgrade, coupled with the new phone service, led to further incompatibilities, but as ever, Trilex worked with us to explain and to resolve the issue to our mutual satisfaction.
Lastly, the technician who was responsible for the upgrade was exceptional. He worked with us through any snags in the installation and went beyond what I expected in sorting out a pre-existing mess with our existing phone system. Very knowledgeable and client focused.
I'm a happy customer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I selected Trilex Security almost exactly 8 years ago from this date from many Vendors at the Home Show in Ottawa as I liked their product and attitude. At that time, I worked with the owner, sales staff and their technicians. I did not have any issues during installation or after sales. In fact, installation was quick and clean on a fairly complete security package.
A few years later, I added security cameras and upgraded the quality of cameras based on their recommendation at a reasonable price which turned out to be the correct move not a sales upgrade move. Subsequently, I have had a few service calls which were handled quickly and no issues. Lastly, a review of our system recently indicated one monitoring function that was missing which was installed given the small charge to add it. At the same time, a complete system check was done which included installing a new battery as a preventative measure - no charge. At the same time, and at no cost, Trilex Secuirty forwarded to our house insurance company a letter confirming all of our monitoring functions. This will prove most useful in expediting any future claim should it (heaven forbid) happen.
Of note, the monthly monitoring price has not changed in many years which was a promise made by Trilex Security to their customers quite a few years ago. Trilex Security have kept their word and more.
In summary, I trust the company and their word. There is no issue at all in terms of their technical or sales staff. They deal with you upfront, cleanly and honestly in a professional manner. Companies like Trilex Security are not that common these days and I have no qualms in highly recommending this company. And yes, you will find cheaper security systems but you only get what you pay for. In the long run, they are better!
