Absolutely horrible insurance company! I used to be with them and left because of high rates. I found out a year and a half later that they said I was in an accident that never happened on Autoplus. My rates and benefits from other companies are affected because of it. Trying to resolve the issue has been a nightmare and I've found their employees to be flat out incompetent. Would not recommend.

HORRIBLE COMPANY. Awful customer service and they take money from you without telling you. Won’t even give a refund. Ashley Young is horrible and never replies. She wouldn’t know what proper customer service was if it smacked her in the face. She is so rude. Avoid her at all costs

I was in a not at fault accident and I was having to fight every step of the way with my own insurance company to get repairs done! I wasn’t at fault and they would be going after the other ladies insurance company. It took over a month to get the work done and they would not get back to me or the body shop. I even called and emailed them everyday and no response. The body shop tried several times and no communication back to them either. They also took a lot of the items out of the initial quote from the body shop (one of those things being a 4-wheel alignment) Horrible customer service and I will be switching insurance as soon as my renewal comes in. Thankfully it’s coming up for renewal soon.

If I could I would give a no star rating, this year they tripled my monthly payment and when I asked them they said they ccan charge what they want. So I cancelled with in the time period to recieve no penetalties and they charged my bank account not only once after they said they wouldnt but 5 times. They also hang up on me when I am trying to contact them. They are the worst of all the companies out there. Also when I needed to make a claim it took them over two months to deal with it and when the body shop tried calling no one ever answered them back either. I ended up paying for a tow truck despite my coverage covering one but because the towing company could never get ahold of them they sent me the bill. Also when I needed my cars seats covered they said I would have to but the exact smae ones to get my money back before they would re emberse me which they were no longer availble so that was out of my pocket as well. The worst customer service. They also at one point removed my husband and then to get him back on we needed to pay 6 month up front. Why should people have to pay for their mistake.

I never usually write reviews but I feel obliged to help other people avoid the utter incompetence of this appalling excuse for a company! After my wife was in a car accident it took 10 phone calls and voicemails, and over 2 weeks before we finally got through to our claim adviser. Actually, when we did finally get through to someone it was her boss who didn't even give us the courtesy of a phone call, he emailed us. I then found out that, despite the other driver crashing into my wife, Travelers had bent over and got shafted by the other drivers insurance and took 100% liability. They claimed the other driver wouldn't have careered into the back of my wife's car if she hadn't 'lost control'. It was -20 and there had been 10" of snow fall, we had winter tires on and she was driving below the speed limit. After hitting a patch of black ice she spun, managed to maintain control and stay on the road, and then the other driver smashed into the back of her. They are weak, incompetent, totally devoid of even a hint of customer service and utterly useless in their ability to handle a claim. Avoid them like the plague! You would be better off driving without insurance than paying this shambles of a company even $1 of your money!

I am not normally one for writing reviews, but if there was a zero star rating available that is what I would give Travelers Canada. They were terrible in their communication; never returned phone calls or emails. I would be calling my agent at least four times a day and I would email them at least twice a day and I never received a follow up. After weeks of feeling frustrated, I decided to reach out to their manager. I received a snooty response back and she did not apologize for the lack of service I was receiving, she instead made it seem like it was MY fault. Finally after weeks of trying to get my reimbursement for my vehicle, they said that they do not have "the resources" to wire me the money and instead have to mail it from Halifax to Alberta. So if you are waiting for money from Travelers, be prepared to wait at least one month before you see a dime. This is a terrible excuse for a company and I truly hope no one has to deal with them. Absolutely horrendous experience.

Getting car fixed took 2 months from a 2019 not-at-fault accident. Case manager would ignore phone calls and emails. Had to escalate to supervisor. In the meantime I was forced to drive an unsafe damaged vehicle. Now switching insurance company. Requested Claim Experience Letter 1 month prior to current expiry date on policy. Failed to deliver letter, although I have reached out few times. Caused financial loss on my end due to the fact that the not-at-fault accident in 2019 could not be proven to new insurer. Customer services is garbage. They are quick to set you up with a policy but extremely slow to comply with customers requests. Avoid like pest

Missed one payment because I had changed some banking info and it had slipped my mind to change the info with Travelers. They had sent me 1 email that went to my spam folder that they were going to cancel my policy if the full amount owing on my month to month insurance wasn't paid in 20 days (and the final day fell on a government holiday on a long weekend). I made all other payments regularly and on time. Not once did they have the decency to give me a call and let me know that I had missed a payment and my insurance was in jeopardy of being cancelled. When I had called 1 day after the cancellation once I checked my spam after I became aware my payment did not go through, they said there was nothing they could do for me, they could not re open another policy with me and that I owed the remainder of my account. Terrible service, terrible business sense, lack of attendance to their customers, and also has the inability to fix problems to their loyal paying customers. This company has put me in a bad situation and caused me headaches. I feel as if I've been ripped off. Please don't get insurance through them.
