★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my teen daughter tried to dye her hair blonde n it turned out "AWFUL" she was so upset crying n desperate to get it fixed. we went to several salons n they were afraid to touch it n other salons said it would cost at least 400-500 to fix n hours in the chair with no garrenties. we went to trade secrets n ALISHA had her sit in the chair n started fixing it right away without hesitation and consoled her with a tissue box. 2 hours later my daughter's hair was beautiful blonde n not damaged either!!! YAH. wen we paid we found out she had finished her shift wen we had come in desperate. HOW AMAZING IS ALISHA... A DIAMOND IN THE RUFF she felt my daughter's emotional pain n sat her down n fixed it just like that!!!! A HIGHLY SKILLED HAIRDRESSOR WITH A HEART OF GOLD. were done going anywhere else thats forsure. thank u alisha xo

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am not usually one to write a mean review but I feel as though it is my duty to warn people of my experience so I can maybe help them have a bette outcome. Not only was there a woman getting her haircut who they did something to without asking and whom stormed out in disbelief and embarrassment I also left with half of my skin under my eyebrow ripped off, something I wasn't aware of until I got home. It was just a terrible experience

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got burnt by the wax during a lip wax. I contacted the company (Trade Secrets) and they gave me the whole spiel- "A rep will contact you hun! We are so sorry! Standby and we'll be in touch". That was over a month ago. I still have scarring. All I wanted was a refund or credit (a whopping $9). Instead, they lost a customer who has been coming to them for services and products for over 6 years.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ omg i got my eyebrows done here and it was horrible!! i think the girl was new and didn't know what to do and she completely messed up my brows. i had to go to beauty first and get them fixed. i was crying bc they were so bad. if i could give no stars i would.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New Management is AMAZING ! awesome customer service and extremely skilled in all services that they provide. I've been getting my wax done from them for over a year now and ive never had an sort of bumps, burn or reaction after the waxing was done! they are so amazing my family and i drive from mississauga just for our eyebrows and waxing to the burlington mall location !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to trade secrets in Burlington mall Thursday August 12th. Haven’t had my eyebrows done in a long time so I was super excited. I usually go to trade secrets in Hamilton (limeridge mall) for brow wax so I wasn’t expecting anything out of ordinary. Except this time she burnt my eyebrow with the hot wax. At the time it didnt feel like a burn, it just hurt but I figured I just wasn’t used to the feeling of a wax anymore. As the days progress I now have this red mark on my face and I’m hoping it won’t scar. Disappointed as a professional should know the correct temperature to not harm their clients. She also made them very thin so

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was applauded today when I went to have my eyebrows threaded at Burlington mall trade secrets. I noticed the technician was doing eyebrows with her mask off and the thread in her mouth. I wanted to have my eyebrows, upper lip and chin threaded. This means I would have my mask off as well. I didn’t feel safe having the services done. I asked the technician if she can keep her mask on during the appointment. The technician refused. She said she cannot do eyebrow threading without having her mask off. I told her that this goes against public health rules. I left the store because I didn’t feel comfortable. When I told customer service that this happened, they said I wasn’t the first person to complain. I’m completely surprised they are still running their store with disregard to Covid rules set by government of Canada.
