Unessecsry noise complaint lead to aggressive staff behavior

We had a great stay in a privately owned AirBnb. The street noise is pretty loud every night. Bring ear plugs or a white noise machine

So glad we stayed here, but I believe it was the eagle lodge. (I think it's all part of the same complex though) Great place to start, great views, close to everything.

The good: We got a great rate for a 2 BR! Fun bathtub jet where my two little kids absolutely loved to play in. Kitchen was fully equipped and washer/dryer really came in handy. Bedding was meh but what do you expect. It’s not the Hilton!! We love the extra space, kitchen and washer/dryer. Would definitely stay here again. The bad: Noise from the Village Stroll was annoying when trying to go to bed. That’s the downside of being in a good location. Maybe ask for the other side of the building. The check in was a pain to find and in a totally different place than the instructions given in the booking email.

The unit I am in is very nice. The property management however is another story. The stair wells at both sides could use a serious power wash. It actually stinks, and there is a grease trail at the restaurant side. I wouldn't eat there if you paid me. You can smell rancid oil from the outside at a distance. I doubt the carpets have ever seen a proper cleaning. While you're at it, clean the gutters. I have a towel out there to soften the noise from the clog overflow. Sheesh!

The staff were super lovely and did their best in this situation, so this review is not directed at them at all, more at the property management. There was no hot water in our unit. We came home from a very long day of hiking through the mud, only to find that all of the taps in the unit (5 total) were running cold. There was a huge bathtub that I was looking forward to kicking back in, and there was no hot water to fill it. I pressed the "front desk" button on the room phone, and it gave me a "Not in Service" error. I then dialled the "front desk" number that was on the sticker on the room phone, and it took me to a call centre. I explained my issue and he patched me through to a lady at a different call centre. She explained that the hot water tanks are very small, and there is not enough water for all the guests. They recommended that we run the water for 10-15 minutes, and if that didn't work, they gave us another "front desk" number to call. I ran the water for 12 minutes and felt no change. I called the new front desk number I had been given, and it went to voice mail. I left a voice mail explaining the situation. About an hour later, we discovered that the hot water was back. I was able to shower that night, but the hot water never reappeared over the next 2 days. I tried it at 10 in the morning, 7 at night, and 12 at night, with no success. The front desk did eventually call us back and also left a voice mail. When we called back to respond to their voicemail, the new front desk clerk was unfamiliar with the situation and recommended the same steps we had already tried. It seems like quite a design flaw that a 2 bedroom unit in a cold, wintery mountain town doesn't have water tanks big enough to accommodate all guests. Guests should not have to compete with other units for water- especially in a unit at this price point.
