So far I've only done the short hike to Burnt Rock Pool (3km one way). It's a nice easy hike through a forest which brings you out to the Agawa River at a scenic spot known as Burnt Rock Pool. The trail then continues up the Agawa river to Agawa Falls where it ends (9km from Burnt Rock Pool). This part of the trail is very demanding and it's recommended that you are an experienced hiker to try it. Most people do it as an overnight hike - there are campsites along the trail and at the falls. The entire trail is 24 km round-trip

Great trail, but Rated Difficult. Alot of Hills but with beautiful views.

Towab Trail has 3 camping zones. I found that the first part of the hike to zone 1 was the easiest, the further you go the more difficult it gets. There's a lot of up hill to do, and is quite the workout and as an amature I found it very difficult. Bring a lot of water. We made it to Agawa Falls and it was a spectacular view.

Towab Trail is located on Frater Road, off of Highway 17 N. It is approx a 3 km drive from the highway to the trailhead, the road is potholed in places but it was drivable in a van. The trail itself winds it's way thru a hardwood forest and is fairly flat and downhill going to Burnt Rock Pool. This was as far as we went, which was about a 3 km/2 hour hike and was a nice spot to stop for lunch. Going back was a little harder as there are some sections that are uphill but nothing too steep. Overall I would rate this trail as moderate if you're bringing kids along but easy if you are without. Our 10 year old was able to do the whole trail, in and out, our younger children managed on the way there but were quite tired on the way back.
