★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At all other times except this time I've always had a great experience interacting with the tourist office except this time I got there and the services I wanted we're not available and then I was never sent are called back for the guides so for that reason I'm giving them 2 stars because I know that's getting the three extra stars is not that hard for them to do. All they would have to do is just follow up on my request.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well stocked information and guidebooks etc with lots of friendly staff. No issues with services or service here.
I've reduced the rating from the 5 stars I would have given because I was surprised to find no baby changing table in the men's washroom. I asked a staff member and they said that there was one in the women's washroom, but not the men's. I was traveling with my child without my wife and had to change the baby on the bathroom floor. Not the worst situation I've changed the baby in, but shouldn't be necessary in a tourist information centre which is likely to see many families.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is wonderful. GO HERE FIRST after arriving for good insights from locals about the fun things to do and see around Montreal. They are sponsored by the City and not by a company, so they don't have the pressure to up sell you on expensive tickets. They know where the best bagels are and where to see the best light shows. They also have some great maps. Definitely recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly staff but they can hardly give you information on third party tours whose brochures are everywhere inside that place. ?
It was a little inconvenient to be frank. Whenever I wanted to ask them about any third party tour they replied "I/we don't work for them"
Though, they can book those tours directly, online or by a phone call for you but they don't know anything about it. Was a little inconvenient as I said.
But they were excellent and patient in explaining about how to get going around city via public transport, and how to get to xyz places from abc places. You just name the place and your destination.. and they will explain that very well.
They guided me from my hotel to airport by metro and bus.. and 3 days later, I did what they told and reached the airport hassle free.
So, the best alternative to find out information on the third party tours would be- take the brochure of the tour you are interested in, visit their website and see it yourself, and if you face any problems, don't hesitate to call the agency directly regarding any information of the tours you are interested in.
I booked two tours on my own from my hotel within 30 minutes. One of it was reserved online via phone call and I paid on site, the other one was sorted out via email itself.
There is a separate section for booking the hop on hop off tour within the same room, it costs 54$ more or less (CAD), that pass is valid for 48 hours, and it has 9 stops and that was worth it. 48 hours, 9 stops, had everything in the stops, no rush at all.
