Not too sure why there aren't more reviews of this shop. They did a 10/10 job repairing my collapsed seat, feels like new. Ronnie (the owner) is friendly and a good communicator, and discussed my repair options with me, didn't try to upsell me even when I gave him the opportunity to do so. They had a pristine 1930's ragtop in the shop for a new roof, as well as tons of boat seats, so it seems to be a busy shop with a strong clientele. Will come here again if I need to get anything repaired.

This is the place to go if you have a ripped seat in a C Class(very common issue). Ronnie did an excellent job and he is super nice, highly recommend Top trim.

They reupholstered my driver's seat bottom cushion for roughly half of what another reputable shop quoted (after seeing the car in person) The workmanship was excellent and the owner was super nice too. Will definitely go back for any upholstery needs.

If you are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable upholstery person, go see Ronnie. He was a pleasure to deal with. I brought my motorcycle seat to have a gel insert installed and the seat recovered. It was done in a timely fashion and the end result was flawless. I'll be returning to get my passenger seat and sissy bar done as well. The is a dying trade and finding an individual who is passionate, honest and genuinely cares is a rarity.

I showed up in the rain with a broken zipper on my convertible top. Without hesitation or charge they made a quick repair that saved the interior of my classic. Gave me good advice on the best replacement and quoted me a fair price for several options. Best service I have experienced in many years!

I agree with Andre (earlier posting). This place is so great that I don't know why there aren't a ton of glowing reviews. Ronny customized the seat on my 250cc Honda Reflex scooter about ten years ago and it looks exactly the same today. Quality work that's lasting. I can't say enough good things about Ronny (Ronnie?) at Trim Up Auto (it actually has a new name now but same address. I'd include the name but I can't remember what it is). Anyway, the issue that I wrote about above resolved itself. It had nothing to do with the seat. I had simply done something to my back and it just took time to heal. I had spoken with Ronny about my concerns. He didn't think that modifying the seat would resolve the issue. In fact he laughed and said "I'm happy to take your money but I want my customers to be happy". Well, turned out he was right. I then bought a second Volkswagen a couple of months later (as we decided we needed two cars in our household). The first was a VW Tiguan, the second one was/is a VW Eos. I loved the car but it has pretty deep sport seats (sort of bucket style) with pretty stiff, prominent seat bolsters on each side of the lower part where you sit. I realize that the idea is to keep you tucked in nicely, especially when driving fast around corners but I felt too constricted. I'm fit and athletic and I have beefy legs and thighs so it was a bit too tight for me. I took the car in to Trim Up Auto. Ronny took a look at the seat with me sitting in it and could see why it was too constricting for me. He explained that with those kinds of seats, there are two possibilities of how they're made which can only be discovered when the seat is taken out. He said that in some cases, the metal seat pan that serves as the frame for the seat is all one piece, including the side parts that keep those bolsters firm and upright. He then said that sometimes though, the metal bars that keep the bolsters upright and firm are soldered on and can be removed. I got lucky as that turned out to be the case. Ronny removed the two metals bars which he gave back to me - good to have in case I have re-sell the car and the new owner prefers to have them in the seat. Ronny also noted that because the seating position of the butt part is quite low, he could insert a 1" piece of high density foam which would boost me up a bit. This would raise me out of the bolsters a bit as well and also help to reduce/eliminate the constriction. We booked a time to do the job and I left it with him for 3 hours. As agreed, he removed the metal bars and inserted the cushion under the leather. When I returned, the seat looked great. It looked unchanged which was what I had hoped for but when I sat in it I couldn't believe the difference. Now, the "wings" on the side spread out easily when I sat in the seat because the metal bars were no longer holding me in uncomfortably. The only concern I had was with the inserted cushion. It felt okay but it was a bit firm and I was now sitting higher which felt a bit odd given that that car's passengers are supposed to sit in a more sporty position. Ronny told me to try it out for a bit and see how I like it and if I wasn't happy, to bring it back and he would take the cushion out for no extra charge. Well, that kind of peace of mind is huge. He really stands behind his work and it's obvious to me that he's genuinely concerned about ensuring that his customers are happy. I tried it for a while (also hoping that the cushion might soften a bit over time) but I didn't care for the more upright seating position. I made another appointment and as promised, Ronny removed the cushion. I got back in the car and now it was perfect! No metal bars but still having the low sporty ride angle and position. He said to me that what is more important to him is to have happy customers and it shows. He's a very nice person and I recommend him highly. I'll go back in an instant if I need to. Great business! Thanks very much, Ronny. Derek

The seats in my mini pickup truck were in terrible condition. I brought them in to this shop for complete re-upholstering. They did a fantastic job. The interior of my workhorse is now refreshed, the seats feel soft and supportive. The owner is a good guy to deal with. Not too many of these upholstery shops left in town. Support these local businesses!

Ronnie did an excellent job on reupholstering my headliner and driver’s seat on my Volvo 740. He was recommended by the parts guys at Docksteader Volvo on Cambie. He is very knowledgeable and experienced on working with these cars as he has done several of them over the years. He reupholstered the saggy headliner, which is a common issue on 80s and 90s Volvos, and replaced the torn up bolstering on the driver’s seat. The interior is now looking showroom fresh! Thanks Ronnie!
