Fantastic hike and scenery. Take plenty of water and food for a snack or lunch at the top. If you are in good shape, you can probably do the entire thing, up and down, in about 3 hours. I'd recommend doing the first 6km by bike, as that makes the 3 hours possible. Otherwise it will take you a lot more.

One of my favourite Ontario hikes! Make sure you allow lots of time if you plan on doing the round trip from the parking lot....otherwise you can break up the trek by camping in the backcountry along the trail. Bring snacks and lots of water...the final few km are steep.

Top of the Giant via Kabeyun Trail is a 22.7 kilometer difficult trail. .After an initial climb and plenty of elevation change, can see the multiple views of Lake Superior. Destination of the trail is the tallest cliff in Ontario. It is a heart pumping , steep climb at least for 1hours. Bring enough water, snacks, sturdy hiking boots, and a first aid kit ( Knee guard or ice packs) . View is amazing and breath taking. If you are physically fit it is worth trying. Total time we spend was 7 hrs.

A Difficult and challenging hike. The lookout provides spectacular views of Lake Superior from lakeside cliffs . Walked the trail during the winter and experienced knee deep snow at the top of the mesa . Best hike in Ontario for anyone looking for a challenge .

Nightmare hike for us. Full 3-4 ft of snow that would collapse with every other step. Which led to an injury. Took us 12 hours. Would not recommend if there's lots of snow. Should only be like 6 hours in the summer. Very weather dependent. If you are reasonably fit and there is no extraordinary weather situations, it will be challenging but fine. I'd say a bit too long for a dog, unless you split it up in multiple days with camping. All that to say, it was still worth it and the view was spectacular.

Great trail! I did this trail with my mid to late 50s mother and had a blast. Beginning on the trail was very easy and it only picked up towards the end, but if you are use to walking and hiking hills and natural rock and log steps you'll be fine. Found many of the reviews to make this trail out to be extremely difficult but my party didn't find it to be that challenging, the most challenging part would probably be the length of the hike (6-7hrs generally) and then the steeper step climb up the hill once you get off the main loop. If you're hiked the crack in Killarney you can definitely do this, no rock climbing required. It us a little under 8hrs with stops for pictures (the views are amazing) a light lunch while enjoying the views and side trails like tee jabour and sea lion. If you plan of taking photos give yourself an extra hr just in case, we started at 8:30am to give us plenty of time. Trail was slightly muddy on the main flat trail. Bring lots of water!
