★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shout out to the Tobermory Princess Hotel. We showed up during off-season (closed) and the owner was still more than willing to have us in for fresh coffee and chat about solid sight seeing leads. Can imagine he looks after his guests just the same. Thanks again, Perry!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overpriced food. Strongly disliked the pizza. Fish was well seasoned/cooked/sauced (had grilled whitefish) but not well prepared as it tasted very fishy and had that silver layer scales on it still. Too wet ....need to dry off the fish better before cooking and remove the silver parts. The sauce was bomb and veggies great. Dining room staff was really friendly and easy to order from.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed one night. Staff at check in was polite and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the harbour from our window was nice (not balcony). However, the guests next door played loud music late into the night and early morning. As courtesy, there should be a noise level curfew (11pm) so that all guests can rest peacefully. The complimentary breakfast wasn't appealing to two grown adults. We dined in at the restaurant instead. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast food was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This review is for the food only, not hotel as we did not stay here. The lasagna was ok, nothing remarkable. However, the chicken entree was half uncooked (drove back to our cottage to eat it 25 minutes away before we noticed). I had already ate some… here’s hoping I don’t get sick! It was also one of those thin frozen cutlets, paired with frozen veggie medley and frozen fries. For $23. Unreal. In previous years we’ve had breakfast here and it was fine. Not sure why the quality is atrocious and prices sky high. Until they change kitchen staff and update their products we won’t be returning.
There was a server/ bartender who was not wearing a mask either. They made several drinks, walked around the restaurant all without a mask. As this is a code violation, I have reported this to the local health unit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here in early April, our room (Georgian room) was large and had all the amenities you need in a room, balcony was huge and could easily fit 6 people comfortably to enjoy the evening sunset and morning sunrise. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and well priced. Service was great and they accommodated all our requests. Only complaint is that the bathroom had a bad renovation job, door would scrape against floor, lots of fixtures were loose ,etc.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The woman at reception was very nice! Hotel was being repainted and looked nice. Rooms were clean, had no issues with the cleanliness. Restaurant food was good. Power was out before we arrived but they got everything running quickly. My only complaint are the thin walls, heard doors opening and closing all night, I'd suggest bringing earplugs next time.
