It is located in a walking distance from the lake, but the lake is visible from the lookout tower, accessible from the bedroom on the third floor. We enjoyed the amazing view of the lake with the passing boats and kayaks and of course the indescribable colourful sunsets. We enjoyed glass of wine on the sunny patio, with the catch of the day from the local fishermen. Hiking around the cottage offers variety, Grotto and the Visitor centre hikes are the highlight. We watched the stars on the night sky, meteorites and learned some constellations. The birds were performing in the morning and we listened to their concert with a cup of coffee on the patio. There is much more to write about this cottage. Maybe next time when we book again.

The large updated kitchen and spacious rooms and common areas made our visit with extended family so much more enjoyable (not to mention space for our cars too!). The rooftop platform was the perfect getaway for stars at night or a morning coffee, and the yard in the back could not have been more perfect for the kids to explore. Our family will definitely be coming back!

The stars at night were out of this world, especially from the roof-top platform - also a great viewpoint for sunsets! Hosts were great; very responsive. We are planning to return in the summer, and would highly recommend this lovely home for anyone looking to explore Tobermory.
