Horrendous for $200, the heat was not controllable from our room and room was dirty...looked like the bed was re-made and there was lots of dirty areas, the bathroom mirror had someone else's spit on it...during covid! Wish I could post the pictures! Disgusting keep driving there will be something cheaper and CLEANER especially at that price! Tried to come to office to say something but already locked as it closes at 9pm and we got in late. Wouldn't answer the phone and the answering machine was full, probably full of complaints! Worst night sleep on the road and second worst hotel experience ever!

The room (queen suite) was incredible, vaulted ceilings and a full washroom, separated sleeping area, couch. However, when we arrived the toilet was clogged and we had to plunge it ourselves. The coffee press was smashed (glass inside it…!). The advertised β€œcomplimentary broken paddle coffee” is enough for 1 coffee pot only and there is no tea in the room at all. No breakfast included. The microwave also wasn’t working at all, and the front desk closed at 9pm (we tried to use it at 9:01pm… and discovered it wasn’t working) which meant we couldn’t use it at all. The following morning we were trying to relax on the deck outside the room, ans the cleaning staff show up in a truck and start blasting top 40 hits from a radio on the back of their truck. Very disappointing for the money - over $70 more expensive than the closest competition at the time of booking. You’re paying for the room really (which is extremely nice).

We stayed here last minute. It was pricey, and very hard to get ahold of the staff, but once you get past that, it’s so worth it. the rooms are immaculate, and fresh. The view is stunning. You wake up invigorated and ready to travel. I have been forced to stay at the other motel, a few times, and it’s terrible (don’t trust the reviews from the other motel, I’m pretty sure they write them themselves). I would only stay at the timberland, , but it’s very hard to get a room. They seem to be too busy cleaning and working hard, to fabricate reviews. Trust this motel, it is outstanding

Stayed here for a night during a road trip from Alberta to Montreal. This was my favourite hotel and I hope I can return to Kenora to stay here again one day. Clean room, solid decor, nice views.

Nice hotel in Kenora, Nice living area and separate bedroom. Plenty of seating. Carpets could use a good shampoo. But overall great! Will definitely stay again!

View was great and was nice to have own entrance! I however moved the side table to plug in my phone and dust bunnies the size of Godzilla came out at me. The room has a beautiful soaker tub but unfortunately it was clearly not cleaned as there was hair and dirt in it.

My husband and I drove across the country in the winter (with our two cats) and we weren't sure how long we would drive each day, so we didn't book any hotels. We were very fortunate that Timberland had a pet-friendly room available for us, as it was the best place we stayed in our 5-day trip. Everywhere else was just a place to rest our head, but this was a place I would actually want to return to for a proper vacation. They only charged one pet fee. The room was impeccably clean, well maintained and BIG! They had a Chinese restaurant at the hotel that was some of the best Chinese I've had. The Shanghai noodles were delightful. Wish we had been able to stay longer.
