S	Sergio Scaramuzzi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Rooms are small, cozy and there is damage to the properties but it's very homey. The lake and free use of kayaks and canoes are awesome and are really what makes you like being there. Definitely visit on a sunny day.
D	David Whidby on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First time going to Canada could not have gone better. The lodge owners were some of the most amazing people I will have ever met in life. Will and Laura were the most kind and caring people ever. Ready to help us with anything we needed. Even sit around the fire and just have a fun conversation if we asked. Awesome people to be around. The property was so beautiful a photographers heaven(as you can see). They have many paddle boards, kayaks, canoes, and even water toys to play with including a dock with diving board. Amazing place for kids. Being on a private lake you don’t have to worry at all about a lot of noise each day, maybe a few cars passing by every once in awhile but other than that, just the sounds of the wilderness. Super quite and relaxing for anybody and everybody. The lake is quite large enough to paddle a kayak or canoe around for hours and see all the scenery. Again can’t thank Will and Laura enough for how much they had done for us while staying there.

The views were phenomenal, the service was fantastic and friendly, the cabins were small but cozy and well maintained. The free access to kayaks and canoes made exploring the lake so fun and easy! The weather, the people, the nature and wildlife... it was truly the ideal experience of Kenora, all for a very reasonable price, even for the humble group of college students I was a part of. I'll remember it forever!
J	Joey Joester on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No AC, locks broken, extra charge for towels, blankets, and not cleaning up garbage. Nice view, water sports and playground for kids. Arrive in weather you'd like to sleep outside in.

T	TIAN TIAN on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t often comment but this one deserves. Yes, it’s cheaper and it’s the reason I chose it to just stay the night but even with that price it’s not worth it. There is no service but quite okay and understandable. Nevertheless the facility is under maintenance, no heating system at like this a May night. Hot water is limited hard to shower It’s really cold over the night. ….Ceiling light is out of service. Yes I can definitely make the bed myself but the sheets stink!! Cabin is old but worse is it’s not maintained at all. It’s a waste of the surrounding environment. I didn’t have high expectations but it even disappointed me The first thing in the morning I wanted is just leave.
d	dianne liefso on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at SunValley in August, 2021. I rate the resort as only 4 stars as it is older and could be updated. The value for the price was excellent in this amazing location. HOWEVER, the location is 5 STAR as are the amenities. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. BEST of all, another 5 STARS for family friendly! There is a small playground with trampoline for the kids. We were able to catch fish right off the dock. Best of all was the FREE use of kayaks and SUP for the patrons! The children and the adults alike totally enjoyed them and spent hours on the water! The lake is clear, the private sand beach has a shallow entry for children although it does get deep relatively quickly. The other bonus is the personal flotation jackets are also there for your use. We would return again for sure.
