My expectations for sales with cars/boats are generally low so I got a lot more service than I expected. Firstly, the boat we were purchasing ended up having a lien on it. Originally we thought there was one owner but ended up being two. The dealership resolved the issue promptly and we lost only one perfect boating weekend. We had a small compensation for that but not as much as originally promised. However, I already expected that anyhow. By my standards, he went above and beyond of what is expected to make sure we are comfortable and have the knowledge needed before taking the boat off their lot. Tom was responsive and helped us to answer all questions. He made himself available when needed and he works hard. I would come back again and work with Tom for our next boat.

However, he was always friendly, professional, and as first time buyers he laid out the process clearly and answered any questions honestly. After the purchase of the boat, we wanted some work done on it, and he set up all the appointments for us. One of the main reasons I decided to write this review is because of Tom's follow up. Weeks after the purchase he still has remained in contact with us to make sure all is well. We would easily use Tom again to sell our present boat, and purchase our next.

I had been looking for a boat for 8 months, through brokers and private sellers. Most private sellers would respond fairly soon, however the brokers I contacted would not return emails or answer all of my questions. Tom Huntingford not only responded almost immediately, but provided all information I wanted to know. If he wasn’t sure he would contact previous owner and get back to me that day or the next. Tom had answers to my questions in terms of the boat or paperwork needed, he also had the paperwork filled out and boat launch/haul out organized when I arrived. He was friendly, honest, organized, and not pushy. My experience in buying a boat through Tom Huntingford was smooth and enjoyable. I believe he truly put in the hours and creativity to earn his commission. Tom did things honestly, professionally and we even had a few laughs along the way too. I originally considered using 2 other brokers at different dealerships. One of the other brokers did not have the follow up skills that Tom possesses. The other was just unprofessional and when I asked the same question to Tom, he was very professional in his ethics. Tom and Thunderbird Yacht sales also took very good care of the buyer of my boat when an undiagnosed problem came up after ownership had changed hands. I believe that shows extra mile service. Buying or selling a boat is a large financial transaction which involves a lot of emotion and potential risks.
